Which Michelin's did you go with, the Premier or the Defender?

Does your 16 experience and low speed booming when you hit bumps and on rough roads at low speeds?

Mine are the Premiers. I don't have the low speed booming.

No Boom before. My build date was June of 16.

Hey guys not sure if this information will help anyone but for me it narrowed down a Yukon without Bridgestone tires
I visited two dealers today and test drove two Yukon XL's. The first had the 18" wheels wrapped in Continental Tires. The ride was incredibly smooth. I requested to take it on the highway and got up to about 80mph and cruised at that speed for a couple minutes and the ride was amazing. The second Yukon had the 22" wheels wrapped in Bridgestone tires. I requested to take this one on the highway as well and the ride was night and day even at slow speeds. When I finally reached 70mph instantly my wife and I both felt vibration coming from the seats. That vibration continued as I reached 80mph an remained while cruising for a couple minutes. I pointed it out to the sales guy and his response was " they are steel belted radials and have flat spots from sitting, once they're warmed up that should go away". Personally I don't care for the 22" wheel/tire combo. This truck is for my wife and she would probably curb the wheels anyway . Just thought I'd share my observation.

When a dealer calls GM tech line for an repairable vibration, the he first thing they ask is, are they Bridgestones on the 22 inch rims.

The problem is definitely both. They best you can do is push for the 20" and negotiate Michelin Premiers.

My dealer initially said that they would only replace the tires with the same brand and model, Bridgestones. I explained that would only delay getting it corrected because when that didn't work I would be back again. They came back after talking with GM and told me that they would replace the tires I could choose between Bridgestone, Goodyear or Michelin. I chose Michelin. When I picked the truck up the work order copy stated what was checked on the vehicle and what was done. It said "Vehicle operating to factory specs, replaced Bridgestone tires with Michelin on Customer Enthusiasm Program." So you might ask about that program.
