Stereo switching from SXM to AUX on its own

My wife's newly acquired 2010 Tahoe LT has an interesting and quite annoying issue with the stock Bose stereo. When using SiriusXM, it sometimes works just fine, but other times, it keeps switching over to AUX and it gets really annoying. Most of the time you can correct the issue by pressing...

New Owner with some questions - 2007 Tahoe LTZ

My wife drove her 07 Tahoe LTZ from 125K up to about 154K with AFM still enabled. No issues with oil consumption, no bucking/hesitation etc. when switching modes, nothing. Disabled AFM first with Range and then with i1000 and the thing was still going strong when we sold it a couple of weeks...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I'm also in the lookout for a couple of Esky remotes. Just need to find some for the right price. I know I'm being a cheap ass when I think 50 bucks for one in good condition is too much, but I'm not in a hurry... :D

Big Family - Trade Tahoe for Suburban?

We only have two kids who are already grown and are already out of our hair (mostly...), but with the exception of a 96 Suburban, all our SUVs have been shorty models: couple of Expeditions (eeshhh... I know, I know...), Escalade and Tahoes. Again, with the exception of the Sub and the first...

Crash safety : 2007 to 2014 Yukon Vs 2015+ Yukon

Shocked? Why? NNBS design was probably started around 2004-05 and no major changes were instituted during the production run. The K2xx design was probably started in 2012-2013. Pretty sure safety design took quite a big natural steps forward during those 7-8 years. Just like any other technology.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Haven't looked lately, but pretty sure that's the case. IIRC, from 2011 on you need either locksmith or dealer for that. Guess GM figured that the dealers were losing money when they allowed people to relearn the remotes themselves. :manos: Pretty much pure gross profit for their dealers.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

It's crazy how much there seems to be play in the middle of the dash. And the material for sure is just simply inferior to withstand the rigors it is being put through with vibrations, heat cycles, sunshine and what not. :emotions122: And all GM could do is to shrug it aside and not do anything...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

One of the selling points for me in my wife's new ride was the perfect dash. :driver: LOL... Bit of a rarity in these things. Hope I'll be able to preserve it like that for years to come...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Well... I guess this happened... :D Weren't really planning to buy this fast, and especially from a dealer, but oh well... We were able to put together an all cash deal that made sense, so why not. Wife went from an 07 LTZ to a 10 LT2, so a bit of a downgrade, but she got the features she...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

What did I do? Well... Sold it. Or my wife did since it was in her name. :D Now she has a purse full of cash burning a hole in there. Let's see what happens... :deal:

Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors - '07 Yukon XL Denali

My sensors are Dorman 974-009, but they seem to cross also to the number you listed, so you should be good to go.

Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors - '07 Yukon XL Denali

I'm no tire/wheel expert, but the way I've understood it is that you can't use the built-in relearn function with new sensors. That is only for when you rotate the tires. You need a tool to make new sensors work. This is what I bought when I had new sensors installed on my Silverado and it...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I ordered a similar kit off Amazon a few months ago. Got front and rears for something like 185 bucks. So far so good. Made a noticeable difference in stopping power over stock. The only beef I have is that the pads were advertised to be "lowest brake dust and most advanced material available"...

    Yup. Those are fine.

Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors - '07 Yukon XL Denali

Got a set of wheels and tires from a brand new 2017 LTZ for my wife's 07 a few months ago and the stems on those look just like normal rubber ones. Everything works fine after I programmed them with the tool I got off Ebay. So, all in all, I'd say you should be good to go. I do agree with...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I know, I know... My ramblings about the issues I'm dealing with clutter this thread of others working on all kinds of fancy stuff, polishing their rides up and what not. :boxed: I'll shut up after this. I promise. :slap: Anyway... AC belt came off once again today and wife wasn't too happy...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

No leaks, but still time to start planning the fireball... :flame: AC belt still not staying on. :banghead: I have freaking idea what the hell is going on... Guess there's something wrong with the compressor. But what, that's the damn question...?? :favorites68: Really would like to know first...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Installed new thermostat housing, thermostat O-ring and AC belt. Thermostat was installed a couple of months ago, so no need to change that. No leaks so far that I can see. And if that SOB still eventually leaks, I'm going to set the thing on fire and roll it down the hill...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Realized a couple of weeks ago that there's a minor coolant leak from the thermostat housing. Since it's dripping right onto the AC compressor and the AC belt tensioner, I wonder if that is causing the AC belt to slip off every so often...? Ordered a new AC delco housing and thermostat gasket...

New to me 07 Yukon XL Denlai - Oil pressure gauge low

What Ken said. PLUS... Oil filter makes a difference, too. The oil pressure gauge on my wife's Tahoe was acting similar way until I changed to Wix 57060. There are a couple of other filters that hold the pressure better, too. Just don't remember which ones Anymore...

Worked on my cracked dash this past weekend

Don't necessarily need the upper part, but looks like it'll be 500 bucks, or so no matter what since shipping is 160 bucks. Guess I'll check with the local dealer at some point how much they charge. Probably after tax it'll still be more expensive.

    Front Dash Crack

That's what I'm starting to think. And the price difference between the DashSkin and the GM part isn't that huge after all, so it might be worth spending the few extra bucks. GMPartsDirect usually rapes you on shipping, though...

Worked on my cracked dash this past weekend

Thanks for the pics. After watching the video of the guy yanking and tearing the crap out of the dash without breaking anything, I'm feeling a bit more confident. Pretty sure I'm a bit more careful than him. And since the price difference between the DashSkin and a new GM part is not that...
