Looks like Drew has not been on for almost three months. Hopefully everything is okay.
In case you happen to see this, I would appreciate any an all info you could provide me for VIN #1GNFC13097R377085. It's my wife's 07 Tahoe LTZ.
Thank you!
I guess it depends on what you consider being "worth it".
You can what ever oil in it that you want, but if you are not using synthetic, remember to at least use a good quality filter and change the oil more often.
I have always chosen to use full synthetic Mobil 1 5W or 10W-30 and AC Delco...
Never noticed this thread. Thanks for bumping it up.
GM Parts Direct has them for just under 70 bucks shipped. As usual, their shipping charges suck, but they seem to have the exact part numbers in stock.
Go for it. I did the TB/MAF cleaning for my wife's Tahoe a few weeks ago and no more P0121 code. Also, I didn't even remove the TB, just sprayed some cleaner in it and wiped the junk off with a clean rag.
The high idle was definitely a bit unnerving when it fluctuated between 1500-2500rpms, but...
Highly doubt it would work since at least the liftgate functions are different from NNBS.
But, hey, it's only 30 bucks or so on Ebay, so get one and see what happens and report back. :D
Thanks! Looks great and would like to deal with a member here, but shipping will probably be a pain, though.
Found one for the same price locally that I'll probably at least go check out.
Finally received the Esky remote, slapped the sticker on, programmed it and my wife is good to go. I didn't even tell her I was getting one and she was pleasantly surprised. :)
Now I just need to buy another one for myself here soon...
Finally got my Escalade remote in the mail, replaced the Caddy wreath with Chevy bowtie sticker I got from Burbin and then programmed it. Works like a charm and looks good.
Nice write-up and good pics OP.
So that's why yours looks different. Every time I see your sig pic I keep looking and wondering what's different about the rack. The Escalade thing just never crossed my mind...
One more thing to add to my to-do list with my...
You might want to go get your eyes checked, OP. ;) The sticky is at the top of the NNBS section.

The interwebs, of course. :jester:
But yeah, I think I mixed it with the discussion about F-body gauges which some people seem to have confirmed to be dummy.
Hmmm... IIRC, and I'm sure somebody will correct me if/when I'm wrong, the oil pressure and volt gauges are pretty much dummy gauges on these and only show something other than normal if there is a critical issue.
Hence, even if it was overfilled, the ECM didn't register a problem and kept it...
The driver's side of the console lid leather on my wife's Tahoe is a bit worn/cracked and I while looking for a replacement lid on Ebay, I found somebody selling just the replacement leather for it...
Yes, that one. I'm not saying that IS your problem, but that's the easiest one to swap and does go bad, so might as well...
I wouldn't buy a used one since even the new ones are not that expensive. If you are in a rush, you can even by them from your local parts store. Costs a little more, though.
Since there are speed sensor codes, I would check at least the wiring and if that seems okay, then would change the sensors.
I would also consider changing the switch panel itself as that is known to cause the Service 4WD light to come on and some erratic behavior of the functions.
Tried several methods this afternoon and no change. Unplugged the actuator a few times etc. etc.
One thing I did notice is that during one of the calibrations (forgot which one...) the air actually did change direction to defrost but not to the floor. But in the end it went back to the dash...
