    Need a source

Something like this, I guess? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Saicoo-4USB-hub-Car-Charger-83CM-Cable-Length-with-separated-ON-OFF-Switch-LED-/380891785874?pt=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Chargers&hash=item58aeeb6a92 Shouldn't be too difficult to fab that into a board that can then be mounted on the slot where...

    Air stuck on defrost

Yup, everything was buttoned up when I did the calibration. The only actuator I changed was the one above the gas pedal. I have done the calibration now twice, but to no avail. I even tried one of the other methods (removing the HVAC fuse etc.), but still nothing but dash vents. Guess I'll...

    07 tahoe with po121 code

First thing to do is to clean your throttle body and MAF. Worked with my wife's Tahoe. Been over a week already and no more code. Not sure if the MAF cleaning is necessary, but since you have to remove the intake tubing, anyway, so might as well. TB was pretty nasty looking. The idle will be a...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Changing tensioner pulleys seemed not to be enough, so I changed both belts and FINALLY no chirping. Time to get back to the main issue at hand: blend door issues. Maybe one of these days I'll figure out what's going on...

    New Owner - 2002 Tahoe

Congrats on the purchase. Sounds like it's been well taken care of and with the tranny rebuild, manifold gasket and fuel pump you shouldn't have much to worry about for a while. Out of sight, out of mind??? :Nonono: Why not just fix it? Or buy another white fender from a salvage yard.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Bought third row seats for 250 bucks. Looks good. Now I have fixed pretty much all shortcomings there were when we got the Tahoe two weeks ago: broken handles, missing third row and CEL light. Next up is new fluids, filters, plugs, wires etc., the basic stuff.

In the market for a NNBS

Old, eh? Yeah, I guess it's "old" compared to a 2013 model. Didn't see anything mentioned about financing it, either, but anyway...

    Gotta Love Discount Tire

Sucks that it happened, OP, but that could happen in any tire store, really. This time it just happened to be Discount Tire. Bottom line is, of course, that it should not happen. Just drive back, get the correct tire and move on. It's not like your truck is going to blow up or otherwise get...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Pulled these two thingies out of the engine bay (one in each front corner). Scratched my head for a second when I saw them, but then it dawned on me that I guess the PO had some HIDs in there at some point. I've never dealt with aftermarket HIDs, but they do look like ballasts, I guess...

Tossing around idea of full dip

Dipping just the roof is not a bad idea at all if that's the main area of concern. Wouldn't do partials on the side, if that's what you meant with the strip beneath the windows. IMO that probably wouldn't look good. The PO of my younger daughter's 2005 MB C230K wrapped the roof in carbon fiber...

    Mileage Thread (00-06)

250765 as of a couple of hours ago in my 03 XL. Wouldn't buy an Expedition/Durango etc. with such miles, regardless of the condition, but have no problem with a GMT800 with such miles as long as it looks like it's been taken care of.

what mgp are you getting with 6.2L?

My wife got about 12.5-13 in mostly city driving with her leaded right foot in her 07 Escalade. Highway was around 16-17, or so. Both slightly lower than what she's now getting in the Tahoe. And she STILL has the lead stuck to her foot...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Changed passenger front and driver rear outside door handles. Almost screwed up the rear by dropping the little rod which connects the handle to the mechanism inside the door to the bottom of the door. Had a hell of a time fishing it out from there, but finally managed to get it out and...

    Air stuck on defrost

Okay... Guess I could piggyback on this thread with my similar issue. Earlier my 03 w/digital AC controls had an issue where every time I start the truck you would hear these 6-7 loud thumps from the dash and the air would default to defrost, regardless what setting was chosen on the control...

Both belts looked fairly new, but I guess I'll do that next.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

My 03 started chirping a few days ago, so I changed both tensioner pullies yesterday. Was nice and quiet all day yesterday, but today heard some intermittent chirping again. Grrrrrrr.........

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Cleaned TB and MAF and now the truck idles between 1500-2500. I guess it's trying to relearn the idle. I hope... TB sure was dirty, so I hope that was it for the CEL. Drove it for a bit and at least so far it hasn't reappeared.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Ghe guy I traded the wheels wth had the same exact truck than my wife and was just now starting with the blacked out theme. I like the blingbling factor more. Definitely agree on the levelling. Just need to sell my wife on the idea, too.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Went from black 26s to chrome 24s. Looks much better, IMO, and even my wife who kind liked the blacks already, agrees. Rides better, too.

    Mud Flaps or not

I put mudflaps in the same category with the car bras: probably functional, but ugly as hell. But, what ever floats your boat. If you want to install them to protect your paint, then go for it. It's your truck and you do what you want to it.

    Buying a 04 Tahoe z71 with 250k input please

At 250K the main thing I'd be concerned is pretty much just tranny and rear main seal. I, personally wouldn't be too concerned about the engine. Unless it leaks all over, makes all kinds of funny noises amd stuff. You can pretty easily tell whether it has been taken care of or no. My 03 just...

How many miles is too many?

I think he meant that he bought it in 2012 w/140K on it. Anyway... What comes to OP's original question, I guess a lot of it depends what you want yourself. Is your truck paid for? If you get another one, are you going to have to finance it? If the current one is paid off, do you want to have...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Rear wheels is fixed and back in the truck. Then took the truck to a locksmith who tried to jimmy the broken part of the key out of the ignition, but had to take the whole tumbler out. He said the PO probably tried super glue, or something, to fish out the broken piece when it broke and the...
