2017 Transmission not exactly smooth slipping into gears

Hello all I’m anal about routine maintenance with all my cars. Just flushed the brake fluid from all 4 calipers this morning. The pedal feels more firm and I was surprised. I listed the gear oil and trans fluid (for transfer case) in the first post....this is a 2015 Yukon with 8 speed. The 8L90 transmission requires Dexron-HP spec fluid. GM / AC Delco Brake Pads/Rotors for 2015 Tahoe
Yes, Powerstop rotors are nice. Don't really need slotted/ drilled ones. Also, Wagner ThermoQuiet and/ or Severe Duty pads have been great. I have used these HD pads on my mini van, SRX and Honda Element and they were great.- SuperOldSchool

I have never heard that. In every 4wd vehicle I've had, I have always changed that oil at some point. It's a maintenance item.- SuperOldSchool

Just sharing my experience with everyone. 2015 Yukon Denali with 39k miles. I changed the gear oil in both differentials and the transfer case fluid today. Used Amsoil Severe Gear 75w-90 and their Synthetic ATF, which is compatible with Dexron VI. I wish I had done this at 5k or 10k...- SuperOldSchool

I take it back... Tried again today 2x going into Low then back to 2wd and it bangs and jerks each time . Doesn't seem right. Hope it didn't damage anything. Disappointing...... Will have dealer ride with me during first oil change .- SuperOldSchool

Does your truck "bang" into 4wd? My new 2015 seems to make a lot of noise as it switches. More so into 4L. I insured to shift in Neutral and rolling 1-2 mph as manual states and it just seems loud. Might be normal, I just don't know. Also, does 4L fell like slack or very jerky in the drivetrain...- SuperOldSchool
