i just hosed it down, brushed the whole thing down with stain remover, hosed it down, brushed it again with washing detergent, hosed it down again. waiting for it to dry to post results.
I just spent the last hour pulling the seats out. My plan is to clean the living shit out of this carpet as well as I can. I'm guessing using 409 or something like that and just getting a brush, hosing down the carpet and going at it. Anything I should be aware of, or anything I should be using...
you need to cutout the plastic, and then mount them from the sides of the inserts. they should have 2 holes for screws on both sides. it's a pain in the ass to do it.
they are easy to remove. i think it was a 7 or 8mm socket. as far as the 6.5"s go, you're probably going to have to make a spacer. never tried it though, i'm still running the old POS 4x10s
the likeliness of your problem being in the fuel tank area are pretty likely. if you are spilling fuel (which you are) then you have a fuel leak as well as an inlet for air. the wrong ratio of fuel to air can result in a sputtering engine (as in, she doesn't idle smoothly)
it's very hard if you don't know what you're doing. some people suggest taking the better route and having the rims sandblasted before you paint them. that cuts down all of the chrome. another way is sanding them down by hand, with different grits until there is no more shine. then the paint...
yea my moms yukon has that problem. the little finger holder thing for that latch ripped off and left a bare metal wire. so anytime i need to pull the seat up i grab a pair of plyers and pull the wire up, then the seat.
