dumped exhaust

I have a Flowmaster 40 series muffler on my 95 Tahoe im thinking about picking up a turn down and dumping the exhaust, anyone that has done this where did they dump it? I don't know if I should do it before or after the rearend, thanks for the help

I've seen it both ways. I'm not sure if you care (and you may already know this) but your asking to have a lot of drone inside the Hoe by dumping them, though.

I have mine dumped before the rear axle, and it sounds great. Won't really make a big difference where you dump it.

i used to have mine dumped right after the muffler. it got too looud though.

Don't know how often it's enforced, but it's actually illegal (federally) to dump the exhaust under the cabin area of a vehicle.... On SUVs, the entire vehicle is considered cabin space - e.g. the exhaust has to exit at the factory location or further back and has to exit at the vehicle perimeter at that.

This is also one if those douchebag cop laws. Unless you have no cats or mufflers of any kind, most cops will neither notice or give a damn about your pipes. The only ones who'll care are the old faggots that have nothing better to do but give out seatbelt tickets and radar people all day.
