What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Put the meats on and went to our local monthly meet at Twin Peaks. I enjoyed two things about tonight. One, it was so nice to get out. With all the $h1t going on in the world.. for 3 hours it was nothing but different ages, different races, different genders, different cars, different builds...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Got the tires mounted today. Back home and installed just in time for some pictures.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Picked up my tires today. Stock size 275/55/20 Toyo Peoxes S/T. I had been looking at Nitto 420S 420V and 421Q but these were on clearance, $140/ea for a $220 tire. Hah!! That fitment is on point!!! :worship::worship: What lights are those? I have been thinking of tinting some oem Escalades...

    Daily driver big cam questions

Also don't just assume those pushrods will work. Measure first, if that length will give you a preload the lifters are happy with then by all means use them. But measure first.

    Daily driver big cam questions

What converter are you running is the question to ask. That is a pretty standard/mild ls cam, so driveability (per thread title-cam) won't be an issue. But keep a converter in mind though if it wants to push through the brakes or if it feels like a phantom acceleration when you just let off the...

    Spacers?

Yeah I run a half inch spacer up front with longer ARP studs on the Cobalt. As we spoke above would not recommend anything wider than half inch spacer on longer studs. Too much stuff being clamped together relying on a single lug on anything larger.

    Spacers?

You are correct, I was confusing the bolt pattern change "adapters" with a thick spacer. What I meant was what you posted, a spacer that bolts to the hub and then the wheel bolts to the spacer.

Another Lowered Denali and 1/4 Mile Data

Found the "pre-freetravel" pictures I was looking for, accidentally moved them to a different album on my phone.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

150 miles down on the new gears, I'll probably add another 125 or so just today and tomorrow. Really hoping to get enough heat cycles in so I can change the fluid and make some passes at the track next weekend!!

    LS Rocker arm upgrades

Yeah I had never really given much thought to people upgrading due to mileage either, kinda makes sense though with how much wear it sees. I have the CHE kit on my stock rockers since I just can't justify the price per gain yet for a set of aftermarket ls3 rockers, but like it's already been...

    Spacers?

Check out Motorsport-tech . com, they custom make and machine any spacer or adapter you want, to your specs. For something larger like the 2" you mentioned for the rear they will require them to be two piece bolt together.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Yeah this one is their failsafe line as well. With the amount of ethanol I shove down this thing though I don't think I'll ever see any type of catastrophic conditions. And if I do, just means it's time for a Dart block sooner haha.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Should look in to the AEM 30-4910 AFR/E Content sensor and gauge. That's what I'm running and love it. Afr hooks up just like normal, for ethanol content you can run your own power and ground supply or just tap in to the existing sensor, and then tap into the one wire feed to the computer. It...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Labor came out to just shy of $1100, gave me the 'old cash discount to $1000 even. I bought front and rear ring/pinion kits with full rebuild kits last year for also right around $1,100. So I'm in $2,100-$2,200.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Dropped it off at the shop for Yukon Gear and Axle 4.11s in the front and rear along with full rebuild kits. Last piece of the puzzle aside from front limiting straps.

Another Lowered Denali and 1/4 Mile Data

Spohn started shipping things again a couple weeks ago, got the uppers, lowers, and panhard bar in that I ordered back in April. Belltech 1.25" bumpstops and the Free Travel mod as you guys call it, or the Sawzall mod as I call it haha. Oh and gave the QA1s one click back down since I have a...

Randeez 2012 Budget Yukon Denali Build (stick on hood scoops galore)

Test fit them on your spindle, if it fits, run it. I dont remember the exact years but the gmt900s that had factory aluminum arms ran a different upper ball joint than factory steel equipped. If you had steel upper and lower (I'm assuming so, I didn't read past your weight comparison post) arms...

Another Lowered Denali and 1/4 Mile Data

Thanks, looks a lot better than oem that's for sure! Haha. Once I get this suspension stuff taken care of I'm going to spend some time really cleaning up and hiding a lot of the wiring. I hate how cluttered these engine bays look.

Another Lowered Denali and 1/4 Mile Data

That's the plan! I was hoping to make Streetcar Takeover this weekend but I couldn't get the gears installed in time to get enough heat cycles and a fluid change in beforehand. I MIGHT be able to make something happen the weekend of the 4th but that's up in the air.

Another Lowered Denali and 1/4 Mile Data

I modded mine a bit, removed the cable linkage mount, smoothed the dimpling on the top, then had a buddy hydrodip it and the Holleys in a carbon fiber pattern. Nothing hidden from the signature either, just the right parts in the right spots. No boost or spray. Front and rear gears are going in...

Another Lowered Denali and 1/4 Mile Data

Forgot to post an update, and realized I never posted a before with the afters. I mean everyone knows what they look like stock, but it seems like most people step up to at least a 22" or so after they lower it so still having the stock wheels and tires kind of throws off the comparison to the...
