Spacers?

So I bought a set of 22x12 American Forces for my rig, but for whatever reason they don't clear the brakes up front by just a hair. I'm 95% sure its because they were custom made for a 2019 Chevy 1500 so the mounting surface is a little bit bigger than normal. Given that I already have 2" of negative offset from my lift kit, I don't really want to add a big spacer up front. I've been thinking about getting a 1/4-1/2" slip spacer, but I am worried about the safety of it, haven't heard great things about them.

Also, I want to get a set of 2" spacers to even out the rear. Is there such thing as a "good" spacer from any of the off brand companies or should I just get a set of Bora or Shifted Industries spacers.

Check out Motorsport-tech . com, they custom make and machine any spacer or adapter you want, to your specs. For something larger like the 2" you mentioned for the rear they will require them to be two piece bolt together.

Supreme Suspension sells quality 2” hub centric spacers. I ran them on my bagged and bodied 08 Silverado for awhile with zero issues. They don’t need to be 2 piece. https://www.ebay.com/itm/282818794971

You are correct, I was confusing the bolt pattern change "adapters" with a thick spacer. What I meant was what you posted, a spacer that bolts to the hub and then the wheel bolts to the spacer.

A 1/4-1/2" slip spacer should work just fine. That's not enough to make a difference cause the studs are so long.

1/4” no problem but if you’re going 1/2” spacer I highly recommend longer studs. They’re not hard to replace.

Yeah I run a half inch spacer up front with longer ARP studs on the Cobalt. As we spoke above would not recommend anything wider than half inch spacer on longer studs. Too much stuff being clamped together relying on a single lug on anything larger.

I bought a set of the universal 5.5 1/4 inch spacers for mock up purposes and they seem to clear and work just fine. I found a company that makes a 3mm hubcentric, but I am worried that its not going to be enough. For clearance I'm trying to run as small of a spacer as I can

I have never used the thin spacers like that so I’m curious- are they hub centric; does the hub still center the wheels because it’s important that you don’t rely on the lug nuts to center it, that’s dangerous on our trucks.

They are not. I wonder if it would be safe to run temporarily or not. Regardless, I plan on buying a set made specifically for my application. I'll probably end up getting the 6mm set to be safe
