    trade 15i on a new 17?

Can't really comment on '15 vs. '17, but I do own a '15 Durango Limited. Great SUV. Dodge (or should I say Mercedes) really nailed that platform. Much different animal than the Yukon XL. The SRT looks amazing.

How to disable hansdfeee lift gate sensor?

You would certainly think so. These systems aren't designed on a whim. I found a similar thread on a Ford Escape forum, with multiple people complaining of unwanted opening/closing, including 1 guy who was hit in the cheek and was bleeding.

How to disable hansdfeee lift gate sensor?

Think about the sensors that are currently employed on many of our cars...parking sensors, lane departure, collision warning, adaptive cruise...just to name a few. Many of these systems are much more complex than a simple "blocked/not blocked" sensor that you could place on the liftgate. I get...

How to disable hansdfeee lift gate sensor?

A sensor on the lift gate could easily detect an object in the way. I do engineering for the food industry, and there are numerous types of safety sensors that manufacturers utilize on machinery...proximity sensors, light curtains, photoeyes, etc. My guess is that GM (and perhaps the whole auto...

How to disable hansdfeee lift gate sensor?

You're correct, there is a chime and a delay on the hands-free close. My issue occurred (twice) when I was loading bags of mulch into the back, with a running forklift behind me. No chance of hearing the chime, and didn't notice the flashing lights in the bright sun. Maybe those are unusual...

How to disable hansdfeee lift gate sensor?

Thank you for the info. I definitely do not have a delay when using the button on the gate. And every time I've accidentally triggered the hands-free close, I was in a noisy environment so I have no idea if a chime sounded. I still think the hands-free close is a poorly executed design. What if...

How to disable hansdfeee lift gate sensor?

So glad I found this thread. I've had my Yukon for 2 months and it's closed on me multiple times. Usually when loading something heavy (like a bag of mulch) where you need to get your feet in close to maintain balance. Size 13 shoes apparently not helping. Personally, I think there are 2 design...

    What wheels should I get?

Not sure how they would translate to a Tahoe, but these are one of the best looking wheels I've seen on a Durango. Lexani CSS15's.

Decision made. Take delivery tomorrow on a new 2017 Denali

The 10-speed would make me a little nervous. It's taken a long time for manufacturers to get the programming right on the 8-speeds. I'm pretty happy with my Yukon 8-speed, but my previous Infiniti G37 was never right, despite 2 programming updates to the transmission.

    Is 90k miles too high

Hard question to answer without knowing your budget and your priorities. Cars lose a lot of value when they pass 100k, so for me personally, I would not purchase a car that was about to pass that milestone. In other words, I would concede on trim level or options, to lower the mileage and stay...

    Weathertech vs Husky Weatherbeater

Yes. There are slits on the door side of each captain's chair, which are necessary for installation. The drawback with Weathertechs is that the edges have a tendency to curl over time.

    Weathertech vs Husky Weatherbeater

I ordered direct from Weathertech. Search by vehicle and make sure you select 2nd row bucket seats.

You've got a knack for staging and perspective in your photos. Seriously, nice job. A lot of your pics look like they could be in a Tahoe brochure.

6.2 Denali or supercharged 5.3 SLT???

I just bought a pre-owned '16 XL Denali with about 13k miles, for less than I would have paid on a new SLT. Assuming TrueCar is accurate for my area, it was on the order of several thousand less. Send me a PM if you want the specifics of my deal for reference.

    Weathertech vs Husky Weatherbeater

Agreed. I have Weathertechs in my Durango, and some of the edges curled in the 2nd row. I might try some strategically-placed velcro tape for the Yukon. The one place I could see them curling is at the door sill.

    Weathertech vs Husky Weatherbeater

I ordered a full set of X-Acts for my '16 XL. Front row is a no-brainer; they fit perfect and they look good. 2nd row...not so much. I posted in the other thread that I didn't like how the 2nd row bubbles up in the middle. I was concerned about foot traffic (my kids) passing between the rows. I...

Best color match for Cocoa/Dark atmosphere interior

Thanks YukonCpt. I just installed my 1-piece 2nd & 3rd row Weathertech, and I agree the Cocoa color is perfect. For people who will have foot traffic between 2nd & 3rd rows, I think the Weathertech is the way to go. I've had Weathertechs in other vehicles and I'm familiar with the edge-curling...

Newbie with 2016 Tahoe rough idle

For those experiencing this, can you describe exactly what you're feeling? I just bought a 16' XL Denali a few weeks ago. When stopped, I notice a little vibration or "gurgle" that happens every few seconds. However I'm not seeing any movement in the tach when it occurs. I wasn't sure if this...

    Husky Liners X-ACT CONTOUR

Here you go RThomas. I think the coverage on the 3rd Row Xact looks good. My issue is more with the 2nd row. It's too long which causes the middle to bubble up, even worse than in your pics.

    4 wheel high feel

Thanks Pete, appreciate the feedback. Everything seems normal back in 2WD, but not a bad idea to have the dealer check the 4WD systems. I guess I was just surprised how erratic the behavior was in 4WD on dry pavement, but I've read about others experiencing this same "binding" sensation when...

    4 wheel high feel

Figured I would piggy-back on this thread rather than start a new one...I used 4WD High to get out of my driveway after the recent storm here in the NE. Forgot that I was still in 4WD a drove a few blocks on dry pavement. I really thought something was wrong when making a turn; with the cold...
