You only need a jack and hacksaw to cut the bumpstops. Put the jack on the frame then the bumpstops pop out by hand, cut with saw then reinstall. Extremely easy mod.
I just cut the snubber with a hacksaw as Tony showed in a different thread. The snubber just pulls off the bracket then snaps back in when reinstalling.
After the drop and front end alingment my wife was driving down the freeway and experienced a "death wobble" in the front end. It has only happened once so far. Have any of you had this happen or have any idea what caused this?
The RR started out higher than the left with the factory springs installed. These measurements were done right after the drop so I am hoping the rear springs will settle a little bit. The compressor seems to kick on more than before so I am going to adjust the links to 2.75" and see what...
I just installed the Belltech 2/4 drop yesterday that I purchased from Tony.
The installation was fairly easy and took about 3 hours. I cut the bumpstops as Tony indicated and set the air ride links at 3". There is a little rub on the inner fender with the wheels turned hard.
