The whole thing was insane. I have bought a lot of stuff online in my life and this is the first time I have ever had an experience so bad I posted about it anywhere. On the other hand, the rear mud flaps I bought off eBay didn't fit either and almost 2 months later I messaged the seller...
Just got another update from them and I’ll be getting the full refund. So the case is closed but there’s no reason it needed to be this difficult for their mistake.
TLDR: Ordered parts from them, got shipped the wrong parts and was charged a restocking fee even though the parts being wrong were not my fault.
I know they come up a lot while searching for replacement parts for my truck and my dads truck so I wanted to pass this along as a warning to others...
I plan to do the oil cooler delete maybe in the spring when I do the next oil change. Get a simple plate online and then you never have to worry about the lines themselves leaking. It also isn't a cooler so much as it is a warmer to help the oil heat up so I don't think there will be any...
Do the C shaped LED bars light up as DRL's during the day? I bought a similar set for my dad for his 13 Denali and the C bar on them light up when the headlights come on but they still use the low beams as the DRL otherwise. I have tried finding a way to change this so only the C bar lights up...
Actually I didn't think about looking for a black one. Amazon has them in stock right now. Just wonder how the black would look against my titanium interior...
That indent is what concerns me about just pulling it off and wrapping over it without the ring. Im not sure if that could be filled in or not before the wheel was wrapped.
Also, the look of the ring wouldn't bother me as much as it never gets warm where it's at so I feel like just wrapping...
I have access to a Denali heated wheel but it has the stupid faux wood trim ring on it. Has anyone removed it and recovered the wheel so it was like the regular leather wrapped wheels? I found the part number for the right color, heated wheel for my truck but most sites show it discontinued...
If you don't have any luck finding what you are looking for online, you could always have some made custom. leatherseats.com will do just about any color combo you can imagine. When I have priced it out in the past its around $13-1500 for a complete set.
They come off easily. I believe remove the taillight and then there are a couple screws that hold them in place along with maybe a couple clips. While they are off, there are a couple interior pressure vents behind them that sometimes break so would probably be a good time to put new ones in...
Different platform and many years ago but I had a lowered first gen colorado that I used Belltech shocks on and the ride was terrible. Simply swapping to Bilstein shocks completely changed the ride. If you have their shocks, that could be a cheap and easy first step.
Otherwise I am curious...
I just went through this last year with my 05 Tahoe and it was the vent lines like everyone else is saying. Gotta drop the tank and blow the lines out or replace them. I replaced mine and the charcoal canister and it fixed the issue.
My new Yukon is doing it as well when its cold outside so...
I remembered that I pulled my stock tune file out with HP Tuners so I opened it up and if I’m understanding correctly the cam timing is set to operate in the 800-3400 rpm range with most of the change happening right around the 2500rpm range.
Now this is with me having almost no experience...
I forgot about vendor changes causing part number changes. I bet these same flaps have been made by like 5 different places lol.
I appreciate the help and the numbers. Gives me something to look for going forward since I was running out of options to search for.
Thanks for the help! Yours look exactly like the ones on my SLT and are what he is looking for. I bought him what look to be the same rears but they are part number 17802160 which GM says was replaced by 19212822 but you have a different part number yet lol. I assume the wheelbase doesn't...
Looking to get my dad a set of mud flaps (splash guards according to GM) for his 2013 Denali. I ordered a set from GM Parts Giant (part number 19212180) but they won't fit because his truck has the factory non-powered running boards and these hit the boards. GM says that all of the options...
Yeah I am really looking forward to how much better that will make the truck drive plus the extra power from the tune and the bigger cam.
As far as the swap, have you looked into Holley EFI? They now have controllers for the 6 speed autos..
I hate that 2-3 shift with a passion because of how much the rpms drop with the lockup. When the trans is cold and the converter isn't locking yet, that shift spread is great. Also, I forgot to mention earlier that I have a dod disabler thing plugged in for now until I do the proper delete and...
I feel something that changes around 2500ish rpms at part throttle and I know its not dod/afm because this is when I am taking off from a stop and its not the torque converter locking because its not an rpm drop. Plus I think the converter locks during the 2-3 shift and this happens in every...
I might be in the minority here but I can't wait to get rid of the vvt in my truck. I hate how jerky it makes low rpm driving and I find it does nothing to help low end torque. It just seems like a solution in search of a problem to me.
The 8 speed thats in the Dodge/Jeep products is the ZF8 or something like that and is also used in a lot of higher end German cars as well. It's a damn fine transmission and I think it might shift just a touch faster than a stock 10 speed. But there is a lot of support for the 10sp already and...
I think lots of gears can serve both purposes. For a daily driver, even my high rpm 5.0 mustang still never felt down on power at part throttle. And there are lots of 10 second and faster f-150s running the 10 speed as well. Even drag racers are starting to go back to a th400 from a power...
IMO the 10 speed has much better splits between the gears so there aren't the kind of "dead zones" where its too low of an rpm to really accelerate as needed but too high of an rpm to downshift. I had the 10 speed in my mustang a couple years ago and it just always seemed to have the right gear...
