How to remove the "sail panels" "Appliques" ?????

What's the best way to remove what call the sail panels.. On my 14 denali it's the
black plastic pieces above the taillights next to the hatch door on both sides.
I'd like to remove them and fix/repair how they are mounted. One is really loose and
vibrates at the car wash.. Don't want to lose it !!!!

They come off easily. I believe remove the taillight and then there are a couple screws that hold them in place along with maybe a couple clips. While they are off, there are a couple interior pressure vents behind them that sometimes break so would probably be a good time to put new ones in as well.

These appear to be similar to how the GMT800 ones are mounted. One screw at the top and the rest are clips. Remove the screw and pull them out to the side of the body (don't pull to the back of the body).

pretty easy to take off once you have the lights out of the way I removed mine to put the escalade style lights on instead
