I thought the shifter was worn out since it would move up and down while in gear so I replaced that with a new GM one but nothing changed. I guess that “sloppy” fit/action is just how they are. Instead of continuing to throw parts at it I dropped it off at the dealership to scan it deeper and...
The wife’s 2017 Yukon XL Denali 6.2 had a service message come on saying “Service Stabilitrack” today. I checked it out with my cheopo scanner and pulled the two codes below but have no idea what they would relate to.
P182A
P0700
The symptoms I found while driving are below, not sure if they...
A few months back I helped my nephew get his "project" 2004 Honda Civic 2.0 running, what a nightmare that was with random electrical and fuel delivery issues. Last week I got a call it was was making a knocking noise so I go check it out annnnnnnnd he rod knocked it somehow haha. He asked me...
Not sure. Got plans/parts to rebuild the sbc350 in it soon to freshen it back up. I also swapped in a 200-4r trans for OD a coupkk Lae months ago but it wants to shift way early, so I need to figure that out too. If it gets into the 12s this summer I’ll be happy. It’s more of a fun cruiser to...
If buying from a dealership I would suggest looking into an extended warranty that covers the electrical components. Mechanically the advice above is sound, but since these new cars are rolling computers now a lot of the electrical components come into play as maintenance items as well and those...
Sidewalk? Thanks auto correct, WTH, haha
So sounds like I’m pretty much locked in to the 45 series tire size, I’ll start shopping around to see pricing
Anyone know what sidewalk ratio fits without creating running issues in stock ride height? I’d assume the bigger the sidewalk the better the ride which I think is why people say to go down to the 20” rims and thicker sidewall?
My wifes 17 XL is due for tires and I was looking for recommendations. Looking for the smoothest ride and we are locked in to the 22" factory rims. I realize this might not be the best option but replacing the rims doesnt seem like a practical solution right now. We go to the snow once or twice...
Do they not offer a sub enclosure that tucks under the side cover in the rear cargo area? My wife wants more bass but we use her XL as the kids soccer hauler so we need the cargo area.
Dam. Im hoping option 1 works for you, a couple high RPM pulls once warmed up might help as well.
Our new to us '17 Denali has either an intermittent exhaust leak or an actual lifter tick, hard to tell since they can sound similar and its not consistent. Im hoping its due for an oil change and...
Im not an expert but if its all hooked up correctly I think that a new ECM flash of some sort might be needed so the vehicle recognizes the new components you added.
Does everyone else running boards make a loud almost whinning noise when opening and closing? I have Amp Research power steps on my lifted Duramax and their motors are quite. I would think a premium SUV would be equal to that but my wifes Denali's steps are loud
Is there a need to reprogram anything if you replace the rear camera? Seems like everything else on these cars requires a re programming of some sort when replacing parts lol
Im not really following but I could almost guarantee you cant just simply replace a Bose amp with a non Bose amp without some reprogramming of the whole unit.
Does it go off on its own, meaning youre in the house and it goes off or is it triggered with you trying to use it?
My wife had a 14 yukon that the anti theft would trigger random days when trying to use it, sometimes it woud start normally sometimes it wouldnt. Turned out to be a combo of...
Right. It might clear a code initially but if the issue is still there the code will come right back after the cycles are complete. If you fixed the issue and the code is still there you might just need to drive it 50-80 miles to complete cycle checks and it should go away. Not much info to go...
