I couldn't find a jumpseat/console base for my 2014 so I used some flat steel strapping with holes in it and made 4 "legs" to go down under the inner seat bolts. I'd never use it as a seat like that but the console is solid now.
Details in a previous post...
Hi. So my 2014 PPV has some front end rebounding after bumps. Looking at the service records it looks like the front struts have never been replaced. It has 245,000 km on it.
I'm planning on replacing the front struts, mounts and perhaps springs. The strut options seem to be the Belltech 25004...
Mine already had the retrofit and the existing filter was nasty. I took a toothbrush to the evaporator and got all kinds of crap cleaned out. After putting in a new notched filter I had probably 3x the airflow.
I checked at my dealer and the jumpseat console mounting frame is not available separately. I ended up using flat strip steel with holes in it. It was thin enough to be able to bend.
After cutting off the back section of that cover I made cardboard templates to get the approximate leg length...
Excellent info. I'm doing the same thing this weekend. Except my console came with no mounting legs so time to MacGyver something to hold it down. I won't be using it as a seat. Thanks.
So I had my tires changed the other day and it seems I have a 4WD bearing on the left front and a RWD bearing on the right front. I had noticed that they looked different but never made the connection.
It drives fine, are there any drawbacks to this setup? It 's a 2014 PPV and I'm always...
I gave the evaporator coil a brushing with a toothbrush and a lot of dirt fell out the bottom. I'm thinking it must have been from before the filter was installed.
I took a look at the service records and found a cabin air filter change. Sure enough the previous owner had put in the cabin air filter mod. They just hadn't changed it over the last 4 years. The tabs broke off and I had to pry it out of there but the air is moving as it should now.
I'll give...
I read that might be a cause but I was under the impression that the 2014 PPV doesn't have a cabin air filter. Which could mean that the evaporator coil is totally clogged up. I'll have to take a look.
This has been happening since I bought the vehicle last year. I had it recalibrated which didn't seem to help.
I can dial the fan speed up and down and the airflow changes from almost nothing in the first half of the dial travel to maybe medium airflow when the fan is on max. I can hear the...
I had a 2016 second row bench seat in my 2014 PPV. Copying this from another thread.
What I did was order 2x GM 19121589 buckle ends. One for the left rear and one for the right rear. My center belt worked fine.
That part is a double buckle end. It seems like a waste but after 2 months of...
What I ordered was GM 19121589. One for the left rear and one for the right rear. My center belt worked fine.
That part is a double buckle end. It seems like a waste but after 2 months of trying different GM and generic parts, it was the only thing that worked.
I attached it directly on the...
I finally decided to move my spare from inside to under the 2014 PPV. The key did not fit all the way into the lock in the rear bumper so I decided to drill a hole in the bottom of the lock shaft and go from there.
When I got a good look underneath I found this:
No sign of the lock. Any tips...
My 2014 Tahoe PPV is finally roadworthy. It cost a bit more than I expected but there you go.
Unfortunately now the AC and blower fan are acting up.
The fan seems to do nothing for the first half of the speed control then goes up to full blast just fine.
However, air may or may not come out...
The last piece of my seat belt puzzle is finally figured out. I was able to attach a 2014 LH passenger seat belt buckle on both the LH and RH side of the 2016 seat I have. It is a double buckle and since there doesn't appear to be any extra room in there I'll cut off the unused side of each.
I...
Looks like the jute soaked up all of the salty crap in the winter and it made it's way through the grey stuff on the floor. Long story short, I scraped off most of the grey stuff and found the whole driver's floor rusted out and full of holes. I just covered it back up and will deal with it...
There was a hole in the vinyl and 6 or 7 winters worth of slushy salty boots. There's less rust on the underside of the floor. The needle gun looks amazing, never heard of one before.
So I was peeling back the vinyl floor on my 2014 PPV and found some rust on the driver's floor.
I can deal with the rust but there's some kind of sound deadening material (the grey ridged stuff) that looks to be a problem. The rust has spread on the floor under this material and messes up my...
An update of where I am so far. Still not on the road but getting close.
I reassembled the liftgate handle with a new switch and put the interior panel back on. It works!
Took apart the LH passenger door and added some Kilmat to the exterior door panel.
Loosened the door lock actuator so I...
