ahhh.... thanks for the video. Removing the pan makes it more expensive. I'm glad they did that because if there is any grease from the assembly, it would drain to the pan and just replacing the fluid doesn't get the grease in the pan that can taint the fluid. Time will tell if that $500 was a...
I took the Tahoe in for a Transmission fluid change at 600 miles. This is a precaution service after my '21 Blazer was Lemon Lawed because the tranny broke. The tranny was manufactured with too much lube on the parts and that lube caused slippage in the torque converter. I have been driving...
Not sure if the Tahoe ever got the 8 speed tranny like the Silverado, but I would say those years based on the Silverado issues. I think the Tahoe went from 6 to 10, but I am by no means an expert on that.
This buzzing happened when I shut the tailgate. The tailgate was already open and when I shut it, I heard a buzzing. I don't think it's a fuel pump now. The Tahoe doesn't have ride height air bags adjust, so it can't be that.... Or does it? It's a barebone LS, so I don't think there is a...
You might be able to beat the 4 Cyl Hyundai Tucson off the line. That would be something to get the old heart pumping. Some slugs are meant to be slugs.
It's on the top of the tailgate on the edge. It's definitely an imperfection. This photo doesn't show the depth, but you can tell the edge isn't smooth.
Had to get a tool to wash the top. It allowed me to get a good look at the top. I noticed some imperfections in some of the edges where I suspect the paint can chip off and exposed rust. It's like a drip of paint or primer hardened on the edge creating a noticeable bump. I plan to bring it in...
I love the Dark Ash Metallic. I do see a little purple tint under certain lighting. I was ready to wrap the chrome bits black, but I saw a RST Dark Ash Metallic and didn't like the rear with just the bow tie chrome. I looked at mine with the chrome stripe and black bowtie and I like how it...
I recently lemon lawed my 21 Blazer because the tranny started to shudder at 6200 miles. GM told me it was a known issue during the assembly where too much lube between parts got into the fluid and caused slippage and wear on the torque converter. I noticed the shifts were noticeable, but...
I assume a PPV is an old police car. What did the center console look like when you got it? I assume it's not there because they install all the computer and electronics.
Thanks to all the replies. I just got a '23 Tahoe and it's the first car I ever had with an oil pressure gauge and I had no idea how to read it. It's about 60 cold and drops to about 30 when warm and at an idle. I can see from other replies that 30 seems okay. I do know from NASCAR that if...
How do they trim the vinyl and not cut through paint resulting is rust bubbling up years later? I only imagine an exacto knife is used to trim. I can't think of any tool that can get into creases and cut the vinyl. Am I not understanding the process? I don't think they dismantle a car and...
How long does wrap last before it needs to be removed and replaced? More than 5 years? Also, does wrap damage the undersurface chrome where you can't go back to shiny chrome. Like the old saying, "Once you go wrap, you don't go back"?
When my Blazer was in the shop for 40 days to get a new tranny, OnStar told me my battery was low and it was. GM put a new battery in my Blazer with a new tranny. It was then Lemon Lawed and I got the Tahoe pictured in my profile. There were other problems that got the Lemon Law activated.
If you saw the Alex Murdaugh ****** trial, you would have saw the FBI had to reverse engineer the infotainment system because GM wouldn't help the FBI with the their Big Brother tools to find out when and where the 2021 Suburban was during the murders. So, in that case, GM didn't offer IT...
I'm also looking to blackout wrap the chrome on mine. I'm leery if the black OEM double-bar (RST) will fit on the LS Grill. I don't want to have to buy the RST Grill too. I think the rest of the OEM RST black parts will fit the LS.
I did a search on this topic and didn't find one specifically and decided this old topic is close to my question. I don't like creating new topics. I just got a new Tahoe and there is the recommended 500 mile break-in period where they don't want the customer to drive a long road trip to avoid...
I too am in the same boat. A '23 LS with chrome bits that I would love to blackout. Wrapping was one idea. I didn't price the black OEM RST parts, so I don't know how to decide one way or the other. Have you considered Wrapping or are you set on replacing with the RST black parts?
There is a button to stop the "Auto Stop". I had that on the Blazer too. I got into the habit each start is a two button process. Start and Auto Start Stop.
