Interior LEDs. So bright and white... It was a mod that I kept on the back-burner for too long. Once you see the difference, it's hard to imagine how anything less was tolerated.
Comparison of map lights. Left is new LED and right is halogen
Puddle lights seemed to fit a bit more loosely...
Sounds like you've got a great deal and have some good plans, so I can't wait to see the progress. You've got a tough color to make look attractive though (personal opinion; please don't hate me).
I agree with Joe. With that level of customization, you're going to get back pennies on the dollar. Vehicles aren't investments, so you'll be better off keeping this one unless you find that one-in-a-million buyer.
Got a bunch of canbus LEDs in the mail for interior light conversion. Went ahead and installed 2 for the puddle lights, but the rest will be done next week.
I did my conversion because mine was already going into the shop to have the hood and roof repainted. You're looking at an easy $1000+ depending on labor costs. The Denali bumper cover and grille together will cost roughly $500 and the bumper impact bar is another $200+. That's $700 before...
Yep. I still have the old brakes...not even bothering returning them since they were working well. I've got a nice area of shelving where I'm keeping my old parts in case I buy another NBS. Lots of ideas in this head.
Either the shop used the brackets in the picture or the old brackets. He didn't mention any part not fitting/working, so I assume he used the new ones...I don't know how to differentiate between the two once installed.
Escalade roof rack received and installed! It's the TWD color, so not an exact match but I'll have them painted later. There is one noticeable scratch that I knew was there when I bought it, but after they were installed it's only noticeable close up.
Just returned home from Gatlinburg, TN (roughly 350 mile trip). I think my steering position sensor may be on the fritz. Driving up and down the mountain in Auto 4WD and at fast speeds, the steering felt solid and reliable...maybe even sporty. Trying to drive on a flat, straight road at 65...
I'm in the same boat right now. I cranked my torsion bar to where there are only a few threads showing and it rides too stiff for my liking (and it's still probably only stock height). I also have belltech sp shocks on since I was previously lowered. I went ahead and ordered the Bilstein...
I have some personal first hand experience and also some first hand opinions on the matter.
#1 - the FJ Cruiser is the most ridiculous vehicle on the road. I've only ridden in one and it's not a fast vehicle, not a great riding vehicle, and I don't off-road so it'd be pretty useless for me. I...
I personally think that wheel in 20" looks best on an A/T tire, it's what I have on my rig. If you're lowered I'd definitely go with at least 22s. TBSS store has tons of oem replica options.
I saw this thread and curiosity took me to the gmtruckclub forum. Here's a link to what they have to say: http://www.gmtruckclub.com/forum/threads/gmt400-vs-gmt800.78329/
