    Alternator thoughts

That's what I've got on my truck, but if he doesn't need high output, no point in spending the extra money.

    Alternator thoughts

Do you need high output, or do you need a replacement?

    Audio upgrade

Yup, if you want better, you gotta do a better driver and another amp. 100 watts in a shallow mount sub with a sealed box only goes so far.

    Alternator thoughts

As a general rule, any alternator under $200 won't do more than 150 amps reliably. If that is like most of the other ones like its claims and price, it will do that 250 amps at a very high RPM, won't gain anything at idle, and in a year or less it will die. They put a high output rotor in a...

whats the biggest battery you fit under your hood?

Group 34 is stock replacement size for 99-06, I don't believe a group 31 will fit, it will hit the fan shroud. Group 48 is stock replacement for 07+, same deal with group 31 I think.

    Complete Audio Packages?

I never got an email notification on this and totally missed it! We don't do anything with boxes, so a package like that wouldn't be possible. I do have some packages with subs, amps, and wiring kits already for popular purchases.

Too much bass, body flex and rear door vibration. Help

Both play a roll in position, but currently your setup for the worst possible scenario. All your pressure doesn't come from the port unless it's a bandpass. Additionally you're back wave is out of phase from your front wave. There may be an echo you don't realize you have till you fix it.

    Will this work?

In theory, I haven't used any type of battery isolation for the last 13 years without a single failure. I've had anywhere from 2 to 9 batteries. If you wire them properly, they all receive the same charge rate. As long as they hold approximately the same charge, you're in pretty good shape...

Too much bass, body flex and rear door vibration. Help

To each his own, but cosmetically I don't feel that's the best option either. I'm more of a make it function well, THEN make it pretty kind of guy myself. I did it with 12 8's in an extended cab below the window, it can be done with that setup.

Too much bass, body flex and rear door vibration. Help

Its true. I also can't stress enough on not having the subs that high too.

Too much bass, body flex and rear door vibration. Help

May not solve it, certainly help it. Definitely gotta get those subs away from the roof too.

    Will this work?

Ideally your 2nd battery would be in the back. The smaller battery wouldn't be the ideal battery to have back there though.

    Will this work?

You guys do realize that they don't have to be identically spot on if his usage doesn't dictate it, right? For large loads you definitely want them the same so you don't drain one prematurely. As long as they rest about the same voltage, one one draw the other down.

Too much bass, body flex and rear door vibration. Help

I would take that box out and redo it entirely differently. It would also sound much better and louder doing it another way. The only thing that will help the scenario you have now is reinforcing the hatch with steel plate, and that will only do so much. It would have less pressure back there...

    Whine after factory nav install

It is quite possible its the factory amp. I would try connecting to power directly out of the HU with the factory amp disconnected to narrow that down. You could try replacing the ground wire from the battery to chassis. I could be mistaken but I think there was a recall on that on NNBS...

    Anyone try this box yet.

Doesn't look like it gives much room from the floor for anything but a POS sub.

    Amp switcheroo input?

If you're happy with the output of the single 10 in the Camaro, you're gonna have to do more than that in the Yukon to get equal results. That's where you'd be looking at doing the 4 10's.

Custom box I had built for the Yukon!!!!

I kinda wonder on that port. It's not smooth on the inside and not real solid. I think going another route might sound better, even if it sounds good now.
