Yeah, mine won't look like a police truck since I'll have bigger tires. If it was 2wd I'd probably try to set it up just like the police trucks. I always like them when I see them, unless they're behind me with lights flashing.
Cool. I'm usually a fan of black steel wheels. I had some on my 94 Toyota and when I bought them they tried to convince me that I had to get aluminum or it would vibrate but I never had any problems. i think they look mean.
Do it. I live right down the street from the 1431 Home Depot. I didn't know the car show was there now. It must be the same guys that used to go by the antique mall until Outback Steakhouse moved in. So are you driving your truck now or what?
I see there are a lot of people on this forum from ATX. Do you guys ever get together like a TahoeYukon club or anything? I'd like to see some of these projects that are going on. I have tools.
I'm considering installing a wideband controller and AFR meter in my truck. I was under it for the first time the other day putting the Vette Servo in the tranny and I noticed that there are two cats on here. So I guess that means I have to put a sensor on each side. Does anyone have a better...
I saw a Police Tahoe in town the other day and I liked the look of the black cop wheels. I want to find some. I plan to level my truck out with Tortion keys and put some fairly aggressive tires on it. Anyone know if those wheels are available to the public?
I bought an old cop car one time and it still had all the POLICE stickers on it. I drove it like that until they pulled me over and told me I'd better remove them immediately. So I peeled them all off. There was probably ten pounds of glue under them. I used Xylene on the glue. It instantly...
What's the difference between AWD and my Auto 4WD?
Also, what difference would the 4th gear servo make? I'll probably do it just because it's so easy to do.
Man, I like the fact that they protect my doors if some dick hits it with their doors. You know how people are. I'll consider it though. I'll take you up on that Nathan if I do it. I guess I need a heat gun and the magic eraser for that for sure.
It only had the Tahoe badge and the dealership badge right above it. I just pulled them off. Then it took a long time soaking the adhesive tape with Goof Off and scraping with a plastic paint scraper. Of course you could still see the outline of the badges after that. I just waxed it with...
I was going to start a new thread but I guess it's not really necessary since there are so many threads on this anyway. I got my vette servo from ebay for about $20. There are many options on there. I put it in last night. I love the difference it made. Mine came with a diagram so I was careful...
Good deal. Thanks for the heads up. Where is the knock sensor? It was on the side of the blockin my old Toyota. I'm just now familiarizing myself with this truck. I love my Tahoe.
Is it safe to spray wash the engine and engine compartment? I'd like to keep it nice and clean, but if it's not safe then I'd rather not hurt anything.
