    295 70 17 Trail Grapplers 2.5/0 lift

Thanks! By steering geometery do you mean is steering wheel still straight? Yes. Front CV shafts aren't straight due to lift but they aren't terrible and I've put on 5k+ miles with the lift without any issues. Of course if you lift the front or even crank your stock keys you will need an...

    285 vs 295 on the Z71

FYI - if running 295/70/17 on stock wheels you’ll have to trim some rear fender liner where it sticks out around the top shock bolt. Also had to turn around the shock bolt so the nut faces inside as the tire is super close to the shock tower. I didn’t have this problem with 285/70/17

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Found some $100 original snowflakes on marketplace. 295/70/17 used set of BFG K02 $200 marketplace. 33.3" overall diamater. Date code 2020 but a good amount of tread left. Load range E so kinda stiff. Probably lower psi from 55 to 45. Added some black 19mm lugnuts and wheel caps. I did the 1.5"...

Battery not charging message but it is sometimes

It's been a few months and I haven't had the batt not charging message again. All connections were tight. I did pull the alternator and hose it out with electronics cleaner. Maybe that helped or it was just a one time fluke message.

    285 vs 295 on the Z71

I’ve had both 285/70/17 and 295/70/17. I prefer 285 over 295 for look, and a tad better performance but they are close in size 32.7” vs 33.3” of course 295 are wider as well. Found a good deal on some oem 17” snow flakes and 295/70/17 BFG K02. Wheels are a little beat up but price was right. I...

New oem style dark red smoked tail lights

They have been great so far. Only issue I went from oem incandescent to led bulbs as the stock bulbs were pretty dim through the dark red tail lights. The led bulbs are as bright as the oem bulbs in the stock tail light. I really like the look of these especially without the led look. Aka these...

Battery not charging message but it is sometimes

Which replacement alternator do you recommend? I’ve read a lot of mixed reviews on the delcos, aftermarket 250A and Remy that they don’t last. My burb has the higher output 145A as the stock alternator.

Battery not charging message but it is sometimes

Also have code P1637 CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION The powertrain control module (PCM) uses the generator turn on signal circuit to control the generator. A high side driver within the PCM allows the PCM to turn the generator ON and OFF. When Generator operation is desired, the PCM sends a 5 volt signal...

Battery not charging message but it is sometimes

Positive cable looks fine under the boot where it connects to battery all the way to the red battery box / jump terminal. After that it disappears behind power steering pump under engine to the starter. The thin pos wire to alternator also looks fine. The battery cables were tight to the posts...

Battery not charging message but it is sometimes

The old negative cable had a ton of corrosion under it and I replaced that over a year ago with a new one. First time I’ve seen the battery not charging message. I’ll take another look at the positive cable and report back.

Battery not charging message but it is sometimes

@EfiniMotorsport Did you ever get this resolved? My 03 burb just gave me the battery not charging on startup today but went away after a minute of driving. All my grounds are clean, new negative cable. Positive cable is clean. If it happens again, guess I’ll change the alternator? It may be...

Long term and short term fuel trims intake leak, low idle, improving fuel mileage. Mpg

Holy crap that fuel injector cleaning service really helps! We got 22 miles to the gallon down to Phoenix and back up to mayor / Arcosanti. 15mpg on the climb from Arcosanti to NAZ. Best I could ever get before was 18 - 19 down and 13-14 up. Fuel trims are still negative at idle but while...

Long term and short term fuel trims intake leak, low idle, improving fuel mileage. Mpg

I’ve only put on 100 miles since injectors were cleaned and LTFT are still -7 to - 12 at idle but during driving my STFT are now adding fuel occasionally along with the LTFT. This is a change for the good as before injector cleaning it was almost always removing fuel at idle and driving. I’ll...

Long term and short term fuel trims intake leak, low idle, improving fuel mileage. Mpg

I don’t have a nice enough scanner to reset LTFT. I disconnect battery for a few days which I thought reset the LTFT? If not hopefully it will get better after 100 miles or so.

Long term and short term fuel trims intake leak, low idle, improving fuel mileage. Mpg

Received my cleaned fuel injectors back with new upper and lower O-rings although I had to replace the lowers with the originals as the O-ring they included were just a little bit too big and I couldn’t get the injector all the way in the intake. The place I used only charges $9-$10 per...

Long term and short term fuel trims intake leak, low idle, improving fuel mileage. Mpg

Sending off all 8 injectiors to this cleaning service. Comes out to about $10 per injector. They don’t give flow rates or anything special but have good reviews and I’ll update if my LTFT improve from the -10 through -3 I’m currently seeing once they are clean and reinstalled...

Shorty headers worth it for 5.3?

Sounds like I should just stick to stock manifolds when mine fail. Thanks for the responses and video link!

Shorty headers worth it for 5.3?

I have a blackbear tuned 2003 suburban z71 5.3 4x4 3:73. I have a afe cold air intake and replaced stock muffler with a magnaflow. Stock cats. I hear a tick on cold startup which mostly goes away when at operating temp but I’ve already replaced manifold gaskets and all broken bolts except the...

Cold Air Intake for the most power??

i purchased one used from a different forum member and the other on Amazon but a return sold by Amazon warehouse. Both were a good discount vs buying new and paying retail so check marketplace, etc.

Cold Air Intake for the most power??

I have 2 afe CAI. Besides looking cool, cleaning up the engine bay and more intake noise I can’t tell a power difference but blackbear did a test showing some power gains. https://www.blackbearperformance.com/blogs/articles/black-bear-performance-cold-air-intake-test-results Installed on my...

Those Who Moved From an '07-14 to '15+ generation... How Was It?

Thanks! The 97 k1500 is the reason I’m a GM truck and SUV guy. Those quick disconnects suck! Haha I have videos of the fleet on my YouTube channel https://youtube.com/@doctube2020?si=lqoSEvBgZ5y1WSbQ

Those Who Moved From an '07-14 to '15+ generation... How Was It?

I might be a little bit off-topic below since I am a generation or two older, but to answer the op question I would totally recommend a K2XX over a GMT900. Mostly because of the more updated powertrain and interior quality improvements. I’ve read in a few different places by a 2016 and up SUV as...

    Negative long term fuel trims

@EdMay Start with the simple things: Check your air intake, rubber boots, and plastic hose for any cracks allowing a vacuum leak. Check around intake for vacuum leaks. are your catalytic converters good? I’d suggest replacing the downstream sensors as well. When did this problem start after...
