2012 security light won't go out, tried the leave the key on for 10 minutes, but light never turns off no matter how long key is. At first security comes on than will turn off for a split second than Back on and stays solid . Won't crank either. Battery and cables are new. Can't seem to find...
Well figure that out wire wasn't seated completely, but didn't fix the issue. Only other thing I can do is find a wire diagram for all the grounds make sure they are clean and good.
That's a good diagram but can't figure out where it hooks to on the fuse block. The red and white wire. Others are labeled. But that one isn't for some reason
Fixed the wire didn't fix the problem, but I checked my ignition wire under column while cranking it drops to 0 volts. When I let off back to 12.5 volts? Red with white stripe wire. So something is pulling down the network??!!
Small update... Found a bad wire drivers side by the transmission. Yellow with black stripe. Corroded bad from rubbing. Ran out of time to fix it. Probably have time tomorrow
The yellow/black wire sends power I believe to starter relay. Ya your right it's probably something simple I'm not finding. I'd think if there was a bad wire somewhere it would blow a fuse. But who knows
Yellow wire from fuse box to ECM. My scanner can crank the engine. It cranks but doesn't start. Fuel pump primed, but no spark or injectors. Or if just rig a push button start and be done with it haha. Well I've learned a lot on this adventure canbus system. The more you know
Excellent thank you very much for your help. I think I need a shop. Checking voltage today I discovered I have no power to the yellow power relay wire. The head scratcher is no fuse is blown. I tested right at the bottom of the fuse block nothing zero volts
It's good. Starter works jumping relay. I think your right. Something isnt fully programmed. I don't have the equipment to program. Maybe I can just bring the ECM and bcm to them to test. I'm not sure.
Yes it does, says crank signal yes as I turn the key. Crazy everything seems like it should turn over but doesn't. Can bus lines are all good 60 ohms battery disconnected. It's gotta be computer problems.
To ad scan tool says everything should be good to go. 5v reference good, crank signal yes, theft deterrent inactive. Everything says it should start. What a head scratcher. I'll take pictures and post maybe missing something important.
