I agree with everything you said, the MPGs and the cold starts, it's just easier for me to be careful and easy on it when it is cold than when it is warmed up. I may be old, but I still like to kick it every once in a while. The xW20s would make me nervous.
Thanks guys. I read and watched YouTube last night until my eyes were blurry. I have about come to the decision that the high mileage is just a gimmick except maybe some seal conditioners and if I don't have any leaks now, why would I want to mess with adding anything. If I get a leak, I'll fix...
I know everyone has an opinion and I don't want to start a civil war but.... I could not find a thread about this question. Getting ready to change all the fluids in a new to me 2006 Z71 Tahoe 5.3 with 210,000 miles. I have always had good luck with Castrol oils all the way back to high school...
I would disconnect the wire going to the clutch and see if the clutch lets go. That would tell you for sure if it is stuck or you have electrical problems.
I saw in the video one white jumper wire in what I guess is a plug off the transmission. My guess is telling the ECU it is in park. Is that the only thing you have to do to run it like that. No need now but good info to put in the back of my brain.
How about you are reading voltage of the other battery. I don't know but if both batteries "-" goes to ground and the solenoid connects the "+" then you are reading the other battery. Above continuity test will tell you.
Thanks for starting this thread, I have the same exact problem. I'll try to resolder but it might be awhile, a lot of life getting in the way right now.
Thanks.
I had spent some time on Crutchfield but did not make it to the page you gave me. Makes me wish I had got their interface, little to no soldering and it uses the 2nd plug in the factory harness, even though I don't know what is in it.
Thanks.
Yes, I got an interface, but my main question was which set of speaker leads out of new head to use. I am thinking "pre Out" if I am going to keep my Bose amp.
Just starting to install Pioneer DMH-W2770NEX in my 2006 Tahoe with Bose. Everything works but I want a new head for nav and backup camera. Since everything still works, I was thinking about leaving the Bose amp. What I am not sure of is which speaker leads to use. The head came with a harness...
Remember there are several different factory roof racks. My '06 Z71 has one that is not the same as most I see. Don't know if it is the Z71 package or has its own RPO.
Sorry it has been a couple days but finally got to it yesterday. Took about an hour or hour and a half. The only real problem I had was there are 2 studs in the lower case that go down through the floor in amongst the 4 heat and AC lines. You need to loosen the nuts on them (10mm deep socket)...
Going through the same thing as we speak.
I don't know why GM or an aftermarket company does not sell just the replacement door. I had the whole case (above link) in my cart and had to go to the next town for a doctors appointment. Town, 1.5 hrs away, also has my closest GM dealer. Checked...
I know this thread is a year old, but did you get it fixed? Thought my problem was the motor but went to replace it and found broken door instead. Did you come up with a part #?
Have not been to the dealer yet, but tried Rock Auto and the other usual suspects with no luck. The closest dealer is...
