    Strange vibration at 60 mph

Its the front diff.... again, had it diagnosed at a shop, carrier bearings worn due to the lame spanner tabs. Jeez bought a full size suv thinking they're supposed to be strong, tough and reliable. My old 99 Camry was more reliable than this thing, and it had over 298k. Well, appreciate the...

    Strange vibration at 60 mph

Thanks for the response, I did replace both front wheel bearings with timkens a couple of months ago as I thought the front diff noise was bearings. Tires are brand new and are set at 40psi. I'll try the diff oil and maybe change the front to mobil 1 75w-90 same as the rear that I did a month ago.

    Strange vibration at 60 mph

I've tried to research this issue quite a bit but can't really seem to find much info online. My 03 Z71 has a wierd cyclic vibration/noise only at 60-70mph, can feel it in the seat and in the steering wheel. I can hear it as well as feel it. Its there at those speeds regardless of if im on the...

    Bearing Noise?

I can understand its a weekday and folks are busy but any advice is appreciated. I've also been spending some time online and most everyone points the noise to a bearing failure and I just replaced both front bearings. Not sure if it could be the CV axles, supposedly they click when they...

    Bearing Noise?

I've got a 2003 Tahoe Z71 and I've got this grinding/humming noise when turning right but not left or going straight. Happens on Freeway off ramps, sharp right turns above 25mph. I replaced both front hubs with Timken's but the same noise is still there. Spent some time underneath and checked...

    Tahoe 4WD Howling Noise

Thanks for the info. I'll have it checked out. Might hold off on doing this until later since it doesn't do anything in 2Hi and being summer I won't be using 4WD for a while. But, I've got another issue that's popped up. Did a lot of searches on this forum and the internet but didn't turn up...

    "Service Brake System" ???

Did you ever get this fixed? Did the seafoam work? If it is the ABS module, don't pay the $800+ the stealership wants to replace it, a buddy of mine had a similar problem in his Silverado and it turned out to be the ABS module. Went to pull-n-save and luckily they had a 2002 Yukon lying...

    Tahoe 4WD Howling Noise

Thanks for the replies. I was just thinking that bearings usually make noise whether accelerating or not and the noise usually increases with speed, since there is no noise in any speed while accelerating, only when coasting and only between 25-30mph, figured it may have been the front...

    Blizzardx23's Pick-n-Pull thread

Z71 Roof Rack Just recently bought a Tahoe. Any chance you can get a 2002-2006 Z71 Passenger side rear roof rack end cap with the mounting screws. Wondering what the price is on a set of 2003-2006 Tahoe 3rd row grey leather seats and mounts. Thanks a lot in advance, appreciate the work...
