I have a 06 Tahoe Z71 with the 5.3L and towing package. I'm getting ready to tow a 73 Bronco on a UHaul carrier and was wondering what the tow capacity is. I've seen 7500 and 6500.
I'll be towing it about 300 miles over some very hilly terrain and one mountain pass. Any other suggestions...
Update: we got a dumping of snow last night and this morning the Tahoe worked perfectly. Used 4W Auto and it climbed the alley and my driveway with ease. Cheers.
I have a 2004 2wd SLT. I'm running studded snow tires with traction control. The damn thing loses traction on inclines. Rear wheels spin way too easily. My alley way and driveway both have significant inclines and I have trouble with rear wheel spin.
Other than putting chains on, is there...
Changed oil, oil filter, air filter, and greased chassis. Full synthetic and Bosch filter. K&N air filter. Sorry my sports car roots still run deep. Not much, but wanted to be part of this cool thread. Cheers.
Thanks. I paid $15500. Everything works great. Recent tune and belts. Brakes have about 3k on them. Fresh oil. Will need trans fluid changed/flush and new front summer tires next year.
Picking up a 2004 Yukon SLT today. I have been looking for a low mileage Yukon for awhile and finally found one. One owner with all records. 68k miles. Two sets of rims and tires ( summer and winter). 5.3L. Stock, no mods.
Anything I should be aware of regarding common problems? Thanks.
