i realize this thread is very old but does anyone know how much this repair would cost? and if its a possible driveway DIY job?
that noise flat out pisses me off every single time im in the car. i find myself actually speeding in order to get out of the mph range in which its present. dont...
way too much time has passed since doing this upgrade and posting a reply so i apologize everyone.
i have a video clip that was taken from my iphone but i dont think it would do any justice. if you want an impression of the difference in sound listen to a 2007-current stock escalade fire up...
filled up with gas today went home parked for about 3 hours. decided on a trip to taco bell. go out start the car up everything is fine. start driving. turn left, obviously let off gas, yukon hesitates to engage in gear because the throttle wont respond but eventually does after about 1-2...
both cats are now in place and bolted up. turns out i needed a new o2 sensor in the rear probably fouled by the bad cat. i will get a sound clip up later. as for my personal observations at this point....the cold start sounds way more aggressive. however driving the vehicle it almost...
its coming along...those bolts are absolutely BRUTAL to get loose. wish i wouldve gotten a cat back system because ive got to take the rear muffler assembly off anyway. all i care about at this point is that MF'ing check engine light staying off after i clear the code. also hoping to get a...
Got the parts in today but it's 20 degrees here. Any reason why a shop would claim each side takes 2 hours to install? The best quote I've gotten is $350 to put these on
just a note on plexiglass and lights....the easiest way to do that imo is to purchase 3/4" thick plexiglass so that all you have to do is make a frame for the windows. on the panel of the box facing the rear of the vehicle size it up then cut out the size plexiglass you have. next create a...
replaced the yukon denali dash bezel that surrounds the cd changer. that gray material chipped off and looked like crap. took about 5 mintues tops and replaced it with a brand new piece from ebay.
i had an 09 5.3 1500 lifted on 35s with 4.10 gears. the main thing that will hurt you is the 4 speed tranny. with my set up i was getting 1 mpg shy of stock mileage and had plenty of power. with the 4.56's youll be running slightly higher rpm but you wont have as much throttle. i wouldnt imagine...
i bought two seperate cats. the y pipe assembly was not compatible with the 6.0 denali motor that i have according to the information i came across. the savings only being 50-60 dollars that i could find, i decided it wasnt worth the time and shipping cost if i got the part and it didnt work...
if you just want the unit to look stock ADVENT makes a few awesome oem replacement-look aftermarket DD nav units. they blow the factory units away in terms of function and connectivity.
if you have the denali with the 6 disc changer you wont be able to use an integration unit unless you want to forfeit the cd changer as they will utilize the same input circuit. with a pac/peripheral unit you are able to manipulate song up/down playlist selection through the steering wheel...
well i just ordered two catalytic converters from a dealer on ebay. the 93419 part from magnaflow wont work for me apparently (having the 6.0) so i ordered the 93601 and 93602 parts from magnaflow that should be direct bolt on parts.
i will post pics of the pieces when they arrive hopefully...
need help finding all weather floor mats for my 05 yukon denali. looking for fronts, rear, and possibly a big one for the cargo area.
i had husky liners before but theyre pretty pricey. was wanting something similar that i could find on ebay for cheap (hopefully) but if i just need to bite...
jennabear i just emailed you.
as for removing the transmisson cross member...what all does this involve and were you installing the direct fit bolt on magnaflow or a weld on unit?
thanks

it says cut to break the connection, insulate the wire so that it doesnt ground itself and short out your system. either will work as long as the wire is suppressed/covered
you can just pull the single wire out of the plug
steering wheel control is enabled by a seperate interface unit that runs about a hundred bucks at a store. PAC audio makes one model SWI RC. you need to program it however and the resistors require soldering to work properly
it would enable you to control the volume, see through radio/tracks...
depending on which vehicle you have:
this is because the radio is controlled by a data bus connection. in leymans terms it means the cars computer turns the radio off and on not a selectable constant 12v power source with a remote turn on like other makes of cars.
to solve the problem PAC...
32 hz is too low for a couple reasons pal
a. if you tune this low unless youre making a wall with 20 cubic feet your port surface area is going to be too small for 3 15's whose cone area is more similar to 18" round subwoofers
b. if the port surface area is too small and in this case it would...
need to replace at least one of my catalytic converters on my yukon denali (6.0).
a couple shops have quoted me prices to replace with one or both with an oem cat at $700 a piece with installation (not happening)
advance auto parts quotes about $275 for a replacement cat (not too bad assuming...
