UPDATE
Turns out GMC would only help out if I bought all four shocks from them AND had them all done at the same time. So it sets with four blown shocks. Now there is horrible grinding noise coming from transfer case. The problems just never end with this truck!

Could really use some help here. I have discovered the grinding noise gets even worse when I put it in 4x4. I am thinking it is coming from the transfer case. When at a stop, if I select 4x4 there is a loud clunk and the truck shakes a bit then the grinding noise gets worse.
Help please...
Hi folks. Had the rear u joint replaced last year, after old one broke and drive shaft fell out. Afterwards had a vibration in the driveshaft. Now there is this horrible sound, like brakes being metal on metal. If I throw it into Neutral the sound goes away....when moving down the road...
GM has offered $900 towards repair. Parts must be bought at dealer so I am just going to have them do the rears for now. After vacation next week I will get working on the fronts...

All those items have gone bad since I bought the truck in 2010. With just now hitting 70k miles, that much shouldn't be going bad.
Will try to get pics of the rust...

I bought my 07 Yukon XL used in 2010. I have had nothing but trouble with it. I hate it, wish I could get rid of it. It has had more problems than I care to type out here. My opinion is to stay away from the 07s....

One day the compressor started knocking loudly and before I could figure out what fuse to pull, it finally quit.
The warranty adjuster said it is badly salt corroded.
Are there any how to videos for replacing the compressor?

Is this what I need to replace my OEM rear compressor that has failed?
How difficult is the R&R of this part?
Thanks!!!

Well, got my Yukon back today. The warranty company paid for new cluster and new rear glass but denied me on the rear ride level compressor. The adjuster said it failed due to massive salt corrosion. They don't fix that.
So I need a new rear ride compressor.... Yeah....

Well crap.... Dealer called today and said they would replace the DIC and the rear glass, but will not pay to fix the rear ride level compressor. He said guy said the sensor is corroded. I told him it was the compressor, it started knocking then quit working. Then he tried to tell me it looked...
I bought an aftermarket warranty when I bought the truck. Today the adjuster is supposed to come look at it and hopefully, approve the repairs.
Oh yeah, my passenger side mirror sometimes won't open after I hit the button to close the mirrors and now my power running boards are acting up as...
Took the truck to the dealer today. Along with the now non working DIC, they are also replacing the rear glass as the rear defrost has stopped working and they have already tried two repair kits. Also, the rear ride level compressor stopped working so they are also looking at that.
That truck...
Turned my '07 XL on yesterday and suddenly the DIC cluster no longer lights up. Checked fuse, its fine. How much is this gonna cost me??
