Detailed Guide to an LSA upgrade / conversion

I'm sure if can be done for a lot less than 3k. I've already got the supercharger and that was only $400. Some quick math i think I can do it for around $1000-$1500 shopping for everything. If it's a 5.3 you're going to need adapter plates; the blower doesn't fit the heads. I would self-tune...

    Rust

If it's rusting your never going to fix it without replacing the metal, plain and simple. Plastic body filler holds moisture too, avoid that at all costs. Your best bet is to spot blast the spot and use POR15 or RustEncapsulator from Eastwood. That said, I fixed my front fenders and doors three...

Very Hard 1-2 shift, Service Stabilitrak Light

Yours sounds related to the E85 sensor. I wouldn't say it's common, but I've seen it before. The sensor that adjusts the AFR based on alcohol content sometimes gets hung, especially if it isn't used very often. A reset or reflash will usually reset the sensor, like you did.

Can the Suspension control module cause yukon not to start?

Ya, I can imagine. I knew specifically which ones normally fail in my climate and started there. I'm sure if you start counting all the smaller modules too (e.g., windows, etc.) there probably are 24. What a pain.

Very Hard 1-2 shift, Service Stabilitrak Light

Just to keep this updated in case others need input on this. My misfire definitely caused my issue. From what I could tell from the GM information is the the EBCM (electronic brake control module) uses the wheel speed sensors to also monitor misfires, this is done to make adjustments...

Can the Suspension control module cause yukon not to start?

Yes, mine did it. Unplug it and live with the light or buy a new one online for about $350. The BCM communicates with all the modules, if one module goes down the system goes down - sometimes. There are upwards of 7 modules (depending on options). In another thread I explained it better. Common...

Very Hard 1-2 shift, Service Stabilitrak Light

I'm going to check mine tonight with the TechII, but mine started doing this as soon as the engine misfires came on. Last night I determined cylinder #4 was misfiring, started swapping the wires, plugs, coils, etc. and found the plug in cylinder #4 was bad. I've got new plugs, so i'll know...

GM What's the deal with your engines?

My 07 5.3 has 220k on it. Stock engine and stock trans - stock drivetrain for that matter -, two tune ups and oil changes are all I've done to it. Mine uses no oil. My HHR has 185k and my S10 with the 4.3 has 400k. Nobody in the industry builds engines and drivetrains like GM...PERIOD.

    Muffler Question

There really isn't a single reason why your MPG would go down other than not being able to keep your foot out of it (we all love the sound). You're reducing back pressure, removing a significant amount of weight and increasing exhaust velocity thus increasing scavenging of gas from the...

    Muffler Question

I use Magnaflow XL round chambered muffler - center in center out - and had zero issues installing (except for the fact everybody says the stock pipe 3", which it is not). I welded mine in.

Panasonic 07- rear seat entertainment monitor complete

Is that the turn key price (e.g., shipping, paypal, etc.)? Do you have the harness going back to the factory headunit or is that theoretically in all trucks from the factory?

sold the tahoe an bought a raptor

ZR2 S10 and Blazer were very very similar to the Raptor. Different frame (3" wider stance, fully boxed), 8.5 rear diff (regular dimes at 7.624), Eaton rear limited slip, 1.5" taller (lift), ZR2 specific torsion bars, 31" tires (regular dimes were about 28"), Bilsteins on four corners, Zr2...
