WTF Yukon, drive straight!!! Road Wander

Sorry, haven't been on the forum in a while. So after everything I replaced, it was something that I had no control over. I had cluster issues and was talking to a gentleman here in southern CA about the issue when he was taking a look at the cluster, he had a similar problem on his car and...

Isolator Issues Noco Brand 200 amp

I have attached my wiring layout, don't make fun cause I used paintbrush. I purchased this Noco 200 amp isolator for the dual battery setup to run a dvd player and power inverter while the truck is turned off for long trips. I installed it and verified via NOCO how to wire it but it didn't...

Changing bulbs behind gauge and dash?

Here is a address for replacement bulbs for your warnings lights on the cluster panel. http://www.oznium.com/plcc-2 I have been trying to track down components for cluster repairs since they are a huge issue but the people who know are the ones in business for cluster repair. I was told today...

    Instrument Cluster

If it is completely dead i dunno, i know when I leave mine in while it is doing its on and off b.s. that the mileage does gain. It will drive without it in but I just am keeping it parked until i figure out the issue. Well you can look and see what the mileage was at the last maintenance...

    Instrument Cluster

No the cluster is what keeps the recorded mileage, thus why when you go to buy a replacement one they need the VIN and mileage to program it to your truck otherwise you could find yourself in a legal situation if you go to sell it and the DMV miles don't add up to your cluster. I have a cluster...

    Instrument Panel Cluster Troubleshooting?

Does anyone know how to trouble shoot the IPC, specifically PRND321 screen and the DIC. I pulled my cluster out to redo the LEDs from 2 weeks ago when I did a step motor and Amber leds. I went to go put the panel back in an when it started up everything went green, okay pulled it out and...

HOW-TO: 03-06 NBS Gauge cluster LED conversion

Instead of plugging the cluster in to use a meter to check polarity just use a 9v battery with the leads off of DMM, i used alligator clips on the end that goes into the DMM, no soldering just get the ones that slide over the tip. Use that to check the polarity of all your LED, Mark them then...

    L.E.D. Bulb Conversion/Cross Reference List

Used the amber on the dash and within 10 seconds ready to rip them out, I used the NEO3-A and they have hotspots and are really dim. The installation was a piece of cake, a 9v battery with leads from a DMM works great to check polarity on cluster.

WTF Yukon, drive straight!!! Road Wander

I am going to back the adjustment screw all the way out then give it a full turn in to start back at zero and start adjusting again. I can grab the intermediate shaft a give it a little love and hear a clunk, what appears to be, inside the cabin. I looked around off and on over the weeks and...

WTF Yukon, drive straight!!! Road Wander

That's kind of what I have been mulling over it the rear end could be in play on this. I started replacing bushings in the rear, the shocks seem to be original but when I bounce the rear end 3 times it settles back in 1 bounce, so although old they seem to be doing their job. I was just under...

WTF Yukon, drive straight!!! Road Wander

Ive been trying to adjust it, it goes from sloppy to overkill then back to sloppy, it was replaced about 2 months ago with a remanufactured unit. Unit could be defective, but it wanders a little even when the gear is really tight.

    Bilstein shocks lowered the rear

What springs are you using in the rear? I have never lowered or lifted any of my vehicles so if this was a stupid question show mercy.

WTF Yukon, drive straight!!! Road Wander

No, brand new everything on front end with exception of lower control arm bushings. Rims are 17" off a sierra or denali, instead of the stock 16" but the 1" shouldnt have that much affect. Tires balanced 3 times, aligned 5 times. I am just gonna start at the front bumper and loosen items...

    Battery Problems

Per consumer reports the Diehard and the Kirkland Signature batteries are the best, Diehard being almost twice the price of the Costco brand. I think they rated the walmart batteries over the duralast ones you get from Autozone. They weren't the best but weren't the worst.

WTF Yukon, drive straight!!! Road Wander

Bump, any ideas from anyone? I went underneath it today, adjusted the tow in by 1/6th of a turn to see if that would help, it look like the LBJ on the passenger side might have a little bit of play when I pried up under neath the wheel. I just don't know what is acceptable tolerances for play...

    rattle in steering

When I grab the intermediate shaft on mine I can feel and hear play in the column, there is a lower steering column bearing that it might be that is pretty easy to get at, $30 for a replacement. That is were I would look at if I were you, could be the joint near the steering gear, basically a u...

Just did LED dash replacement even 4wd select

Looks great, Ive got some amber LEDs to put into my dash just haven't had the time to pull everything apart yet to do it. Going to try and do everything else in red to match my radio, amber should be bright not not as bad as white and the red will keep everything else toned down for night time...

WTF Yukon, drive straight!!! Road Wander

Good to know on the tires, I am looking at a set off a 2012 yukon already on the rims at 85% or more tread, I am going hate to drop another 700 on tires only to find out that wasn't the issue. Trying to find a 17" rim spare and buy a 5th tire exactly the same and start rotating it with the...

WTF Yukon, drive straight!!! Road Wander

So I bought a 2003 yukon in May 2013, when I purchased it I knew I needed to replace some front end components. It was a left recovery with 119,000 miles on it. They stole the rims and stereo and dumped the car so I know I had heavy rims on it before. I am getting a wandering in the steering...
