    AC not working...again.

Found the problem. The compressor drive belt disintegrated and came off. Now just hope the belt didn't burn up from the compressor being seized.

    AC not working...again.

Thank you. I reset the battery and can hear the mixer turn when I adjust the temp. I'll try going by auto zone to get a pressure gauge. I appreciate you replying.

    AC not working...again.

So, 02 yukon 5.3 with 323,000 miles on her. Air conditioning hadn't worked for a while, I unplugged the battery and re-filled coolant and all was good for 3 months. All of a sudden 2 days ago she stopped working. Connected the pressure gauge that came with the coolant filler, and the pressure...

    Rattling sound during acceleration. Wtf?

02 yukon with 317k 5.3L. I was in probably 2nd gear and a stepped on the gas to accelerate. Well, transmission didn't downshift and it let out a rattle that sounded eerily similar to rod knock. I let of the gas briefly then stepped on it again, and she down shifted and there wasn't any rattle. I...

    No AC. Please help!

I know, I couldn't believe it. I bought this truck at auction for $1,000. It's by far my favorite vehicle I've ever owned. She has lots of miles on her, but you can tell the previous owners had great pride of ownership. Only one owner before me. Lots of little things wrong with her, but I'm...

    No AC. Please help!

Ok, so I added another can and it only brought it up a little bit. That little bit put it in the green, but not within the boundaries of the arrows it had me set according to the ambient air temp. It emptied the entire second can. So I decided to get a third can. I added at and it didn't...

    No AC. Please help!

Fixed!!!!! So I went to track auto and bought one of those can refills of freon. When I connected it my pressure read almost 0. I turned the AC on and started to fill when in about 15 seconds I heard the compressor kick on. This was actually the first time I've heard it. Anyway, I ended up...

    No AC. Please help!

So good news and bad news. I did what was recommended, and sure enough the temperature now adjusts out of hot only. Which is a huge improvement. Unfortunately when I turn it to cold it only comes out barely cool. Guess I have to check freon levels again.

    No AC. Please help!

Hey guys, nope, unfortunately I didn't get around to it last night, been waiting for the rain to stop here to try tonight. I really hope it works. Do I have to start the engine with the AC on, or any other trickery to get it to work?

    No AC. Please help!

My 02 Yukon only blows hot air. I adjust the temp control and no matter what it stays at it's hottest. Last I checked the AC clutch was engaging when the AC button was pressed. Also, not sure if this is relevant, but the battery died during the winter and it needed to be replaced. Heard somehow...

NNBS 2011 4x4 Tahoe acting like in 4x4 when not

When looking at the front end does it look like one side is sagging at all? Do you see any uneven tire wear on the front tires?

Help! What part did I just break?!

No, luckily it didnt. How much did they charge you at the dealership? She's got 310,000 miles on her, but she runs real strong. It might be worth paying someone to do it right.

Help! What part did I just break?!

So I'm crawling my not so tiny self into my engine compartment to change my spark plugs on my '02 yukon, and suddenly I hear a "snap" then radiator fluid starts leaking. It was a plastic coupling that connects two metal tubes, one of which goes into the dash through my engine compartment. Pretty...

    Rough Idle

I have a 2002 Yukon 5.3. I just changed spark plugs and wires and now it seems like the engine has a bit of a rough idle. I set the ACDELCO plugs at .060 per the manufacturers recommendation. Heard conflicting info between .040 and .060. I changed the PCV also and it was the dirtiest PCV I've...
