    ooops broke vapor canister help!!!

    Glad I'm not the only one. I fixed mine with "Plastic" epoxy. Lucky it broke below where the clip goes and put a toothpick in the hole to prevent the line from getting epoxy in it. It wasn't pretty but it worked and the line snapped on and I turned the light off with my scanner.

    2006 Yukon, 5.3L - OIL CONSUMPTION

    My '00 used to burn a quart until I got the same PCV. Now it burns half court or less between 5K oil changes with Mobil 1, Wix filters..... She's got almost 175,000 miles on the clock too, oil consumption hasn't changed. Got a little piston slap at 0Dark-Thirty during single digit temps.....

    Popping noise in front end

    My front end pops when I'm about to change the oil....I give all 11 or so zerks a shot of grease and it stops..... Hate to ask, have you greased her lately? I know I get lazy and don't do it ALL the time and I get rice krispies in the front end.....

    have you rechecked your fluid? I know when I changed my fluid and put in synthetic, I had to top it off a few times after it "settled"

    Have you checked the fluid? when I drain mine, I check it often to make sure it's "settled" It may be low, if not, take it back

    Bad Bearing or ???

    For giggles, check your emergency brake shoes, mine went out and thought it was a bad bearing, was metal to metal and tore up my disks. Only heard at lower speeds coming to a stop.....

    I would look at Ebay, I got a rear passenger reg/motor combo, new in box for less than 30 bucks brand new in box. They come up once in a while. Keep the kids from hanging on while rolling up, they are ran by cables and they get tangled up and it's a mess after that.

    Third and fourth gear clutches are shot. I bought a rebuilt tranny from Ebay that Ronnie Smith Transmissions sold for 925 out the door with no core. Shifts like a dream and got 2mpg better. They use new rebuild kits from GM with updated parts such as sunshell, 3rd, 4th gear cluthces etc...

    On my '00 it's filled through the dipstick tube..... I'm leary on a flush.....That's just me, seen some good results and praise them and seen some bad results and felt bad that a new tranny was needed.....probably needed one anyways. "Don't change the oil, it'll blow up" LOL

    Tranny fluid change?

    I've read that backward flushing of tranny pushes debris backwards in places it shouldn't be which is not good.....With that....I drain the pan (I have the deep pan) every year and get about 5-6qts every drain and have done so since 2005 and have 138,000 miles on the clock.
