Ok so I did some more experimenting and lifted the rear, the brakes work fine, no tight and loose spots like from warped rotors. I ordered a new brake switch since that can affect this whole issue, turned out not to be the right one for an adjustable brake pedal. I took apart the original...
Ahhh, now my wife says the brakes are doing the ABS stuttering thing and it has never done that, and I haven't touched it since I replaced the bearings. Not to mention the rear flap that changes hot and cold is broken. I don't have enough time but I'm too stubborn to pay anyone.
Thanks for the help and knowledge. I am going to jack the whole thing up and do some tests, see if the brakes are working on the rear, perhaps the rear rotors are warped and when I plug the rear wheel speed sensor so all the systems are working, the rear gets brakes and then the warped rotors...
Yes I know, but the brakes feel fine so long as I leave one of the wheel speed sensors unplugged which disables the traction control and another feature and the ability to lock into 4 lo on this 2005 Chevy AWD Chevy Tahoe. When I plug the sensor I replaced back up the Traction control...
I kept jacking the front up to work on it and it would creep back a little, start again and it would creep back more. With only the rear jacked up in park the wheels did spin in opposite directions without moving the drive shaft. How would I got about testing to see if the rear is getting...
I just put on some new wheel bearings and noticed every time I tried to jack up the front end the Tahoe on a slight rear end decline would move backwards. So after putting some chocks on
the rear tires and finishing, I moved the Tahoe to level ground and jacked up the rear end. The tires spin...
I glued the blend door and have a new control module and new blend door actuator and have tried every actuator reset trick out there and now my drivers side ac starts blowing hot after 20 seconds of on time. I had this problem before and one way of fixing it worked for awhile but ac kept...
I have been doing the usual trying to get rid of the abs traction control service stability lights on the dash and replaces the front wheel bearing with new sensors and the right rear sensor.
So now that the lights are gone when you brake you feel feedback through the brake pedal, not abs...
The rear AC was blowing hot air, common problem. So I purchased a new control module. Reset the system following this page advice : http://www.sparkys-answers.com/2011/08/hvac-actuator-recalibration-procedure.html
Still the same. So I buy a new blend door actuator. No fix. I noticed...
C0283 Traction Switch shorted to ground
B0790 Transfer case Neutral indicator shorted to ground
B2725 ATC mode switch circuit malfunction
I replaced the front hubs trying to get rid of the ABS Traction Control stability lights. I went to autozone to get these codes and they let me reset...
Hello, I am trying to get the ABS, Traction control and service stability to go away. I replaced the front wheel bearings that came with new sensors. No fix.
I'm measuring the resistance on the rear sensors and when I make contact with my multimeter I just get a brief reading flash on the...
Hello, I recently bought a 2005 Chevy LT Tahoe, with a few bugs for cheap and thought i would work them out myself. It seems to be stuck in 4 hi. The middle button showing 4 wheels (4 hi lock?) stays lit. The red neutral light does not come on in neutral, only at start up. If I push 4 low it...
