So, when the vehicle is off, I assume that spring pulls it into the "closed" position? When the vehicle was off, I could turn it about 5-10 degrees in one direction, and the other direction it rotated about 90 degrees. So, I held it turned in the 90 degree position while I wired it like that...
For the last few months, my wife's Denali has sounded like crap for about 10-15 seconds on cold start ups in the mornings. Well, I finally got it on jack stands, slipped underneath it, and was able to pinpoint the culprit of all the clattering and clanking going on. There's a valve between the...
You don’t hear the Ridge Grapplers at all. They were designed to be the quietest AT out there. They work awesome in Mud, Snow, Sand, etc. on my Raptor. Love ‘em!
The 285/60 fits better than the 305/55 because it is narrower and doesn’t rub the sway bar at full lock.
Here’s one taken right after they were installed. Still have slip tack splattered on the edge. They are MUCH better ride with more sidewall and E rated instead of F rating on the 305/55. No rubbing issues so far and wife is happy as a clam. 2-3 lbs less rotational wt per corner as well.
Love...
Wow, I would rather buy aftermarket from Bilstein or a reputable shock company instead of buying OEM. I’ve seen Monroe preassembled struts for a little over $200, and also KYB replacement struts for $200 that work with the Denali ride system.
How many miles have you all been experiencing before you've needed to replace the OEM front struts on
your Yukon Denali's with the MagnaRide suspension? We've had our Denali since February 2016 and it has 48,000 miles on it, and just saw one is leaking plenty of fluid from the top seal....:mad...
I have a 2016 4x4 Yukon Denali with a leveling kit on it and have run 305/55R20 Trail Grappler MT's on it
since Day 1, but I am looking to replace them with 285/60R20 Ridge Grapplers this time around. OEM 20"
size was 275/55R20, so I'm pretty sure the 285/60R20 should work just fine.
To date...
I’m thinking of replacing it with an Optima yellow top or red top. Does anyone have a model number and a suggestion as to whether I should use the yellow or the red?
i changed out to an aFe intake earlier this year and try to clean out garage. Anyone have use for it. PM me for local pickup in the Houston area.

Thanks guys. The Denali gets used every day, so it’s weird that it would just go down. I charged it up on the Schumacher and it seems to be working fine for now. Does struggle when temps get down in the 30’s though.
Thanks All,
I can't trust that piece of crap battery......working fine today, but I'm carrying around the jump starter just in case.....it seemed
to be holding a charge now.....damn thing can't make up it's mind.....
What a PIA it's going to be to change the damn thing!!! GM made it so damn...
It got cold(in the 30’s & 40’s and the Denali is giving us issues with the battery going down to where it still has charge enough to turnover, but not enough to start the 6.2. Anyone else have issues with OEM battery so soon?
What type of battery is it? Conventional or AGM?? It’s at 85%, but...
Yes, mine has reacted 1x in a situation like that on a highway in New Mexico! Scared the crap out of my wife and surprised the hell out of me unexpectedly. Luckily, I still rest my foot lightly on the gas pedal with cruise on, and quickly countered with overriding pressure on the pedal.
Nope, decided to leave it alone. My wife took it over, so i’m On to my next build. My 2019 Audi RS5 Sportback should be coming to the US in the next couple months......been waiting impatiently!!!
Actually, they do instruct you to disconnect the negative battery terminal. See the 2nd to the last bullet point in the pic below. That's why I asked. I missed it as well, and may have to do this tonight to see if the engine acts differently. Not sure if it will erase all our presets and settings.
Did you disconnect the negative battery terminal when you did the install? I did my install without disconnecting the terminal
and wife says she's lost like 2 mpg since installing.....and she swears it isn't because she is driving it any different or faster...(hmmm?!?)
Wondering if maybe by not...
When i’m approaching a slower vehicle in front of me and about to go around in the lane of the opposite direction, the damn thing hits the brakes and I have to override with the throttle....annoying!
