I have a 2016 4x4 Yukon Denali with a leveling kit on it and have run 305/55R20 Trail Grappler MT's on it
since Day 1, but I am looking to replace them with 285/60R20 Ridge Grapplers this time around. OEM 20"
size was 275/55R20, so I'm pretty sure the 285/60R20 should work just fine.
To date, the only rubbing we've had with the 305/55R20 is at full lock when the sidewall tread lugs rub on the sway bar. I'm hopeful the 285/60 will help with that some(.67" narrower).
The wife isn't sure about going narrower, but I told her it will look better since it will be about 1/2" taller (.47" in Dia. taller than 305/55). She didn't want to go shorter either, so that ruled out 295/55R20(32.76" tall) size.
QUESTION:
Does anyone run 285/60R20 tires on their Yukon/Tahoe? Any pics from the side?
Would like to hear feedback on running this size as well.
Here is a pic of ours with the 305/55 setup when new.
