Several new additions to the main issue.
1. AME transmission is a scam. They've since been shit down since I bought mine and many many other people have received defective transmissions. WORST PEOPLE IMAGINABLE
2. Crawled the Tahoe to the dealer to get the computer re-flashed hoping maybe it...
About 6 months ago I burned up the tranny in my 04 Tahoe z71 while towing a small trailer on a road trip. It went to downshift to go up a hill, and there was nothing. Tach pegged out.
Replaced transmission, new torque converter as well. Within 100 miles the problem was back. Now at normal...
