With my dash it wasn't "wearing off" but more like "chipping off"... if you read the instructions for the SEM paint they tell you to use an adhesion promotor as prep... I bought it but didn't use it since I only had small chips but when I was cleaning up the chips for paint I could peel away...
+1 for SEM
I did my dash just yesterday... color match isn't 100% but really really close - I'm hoping that the color will match better over time as is common with paint in general
I think that it should be possible to retune it for E85 and it will run - thats the easy part.
The hard part will be to make sure that the rest of the system can handle E85 vs gasoline to make sure that you won't have issues after some time...
My understanding that many GM trucks built...
you have to program the alarm either with the handheld smart programmer, or the manually by using the programming method with the valet button. This is all covered in the installation manual.
Gorilla makes some 9 different kinds of locking lug nuts.
Just to be clear - you removed the Gorilla Guard locks easily? The ones with a sleeve around them that spin freely?
I'm not sure I understand you anymore.
My GM lug nuts have plastic caps on them. I removed one of the GM lugnuts and the cap, and replaced them with one of the gorilla guard nuts. The Gorrilla Guard, doesn't have a cap on them.
My GM 20" wheels have those caps on the nuts... it doesn't bother me that one of the lug nuts don't match - thats part of the issue with locking lug nuts in general.
There's a guy who replace all 5 of his with gorilla guards... that could solve your issue of matching them... :)
I prefer gorilla guard locks...

They have a spinning outer sleeve that prevents the wheel-lock remover tools from working. Like these:

Those tools (which you can also get at your local Sears hardware) will...
Ya, I just took photos of the needles in the zero position so I knew where to put them back to.
The worst thing that can happen is that you don't have any idea where they go, and you just have to adjust them over time with trial and error. Its not that big of a deal - it'll just take a lot of time
I did that process - its actually pretty quick... the most tedious part is calibrating them and aligning the needles back to zero.
I agree that the overlays and needles are a bit expensive... I ended up buying an entire used Platinum Escalde cluster and swapping everything out so I wouldn't...
I practically did the same install in my 05 Denali and a 5901.
I didn't touch the brown wire - and everything works fine. According to the service manual, the brown wire runs the 2nd tier accessories like the front/rear wipers, special equip, and the truck body controller accy. (the last TBC...
Based on the diagram (posted above) it seems like the motor and control module are in one unit - so I don't know where the "separate wiring" would be - but I'm all ears. :)
Additionally - based on how the initialization works for the motor it doesn't look like there are any sensors either...
Ya - thats what I'm thiinking too... sad - I wished I could just get it to close so if I were to forget it would do it for me...
Well - if anyone else has any ideas, I'm all ears.
I'm trying to figure out how to integrate a DEI 530t or 529t with the factory sunroof in my 05 Yukon Denali. Install manual for the 530t is here: http://www.p71interceptor.com/windowmodule/installmanuals/dei530t.html and for the 529t is http://tinyurl.com/dei529t
After looking at the factory...
