As mentioned before read the exclusions. As basically an insurance product, it all depends on if you are more comfortable shifting major repair risk or self funding in the chance something goes wrong. We all pay homeowners ins. But, very few have claims.
Assuming the truck is 2WD based on price? Otherwise, looks like a very fair deal. If it’s 4WD, send it over my way and it will sell for much more in Central Oregon
In snow country, auto running boards for sure. Also, agree on Auto 4wd since wife drives a Quattro. Wants the computer to do it. Also, good to have on a boat ramp.
If you are planning on towing heavy, 3500 is the way to go. Otherwise, daily driving will be much better with Yukon. That Duramax should be pre-def and if paired with Allison is a great tow rig.
Half tons towing this much weight is very doable, but going to be that guy. No way it can be justified as safe!!! Stopping and emergency maneuvers are not good at all! Added an F350 to the stable for proper towing. Now family will be safe.
Just like all the RV places selling Subarus travel...
If I remember correctly, from my vehicle of that year, as someone mentioned earlier, brake sensor was my issue. Replaced and all was good. If you are depending on the AWD for winter driving. The traction control should be addressed as the AWD system is interconnected.
Good luck.
I tried one, but went with the ‘18+ design on the ‘17. Also, plasti-dipped the fog surrounds. Clips are tricky, but I just took the whole thing off in one piece and then used trim removal tools…Still no fun.
Agreed on personal preference, but the set up DOES dictate purpose. And not all purposes are the same. For example, I run 18” wheels with large sidewall on my Tremor to give a better ride / traction off road. Air down for sand..etc. Wider stance on the sports car for track days. 22” on my...
Super easy DIY. I have had really good luck with Raybesto discs. Depending on use, choose pad accordingly. I tow near the limits so I have used the severe duty pads…but lots of dust…as previous poster said ceramic might be better. Reasonably price for performance and have never had one warp.
“First off... My truck, my rules. That's all that matters.”
Totally respect that, not trying to be a dick, but always wanting to learn. Is this strictly personal preference or is there a functional component to that wheel set-up? Respect either way. Thx.
Good point. I have no official information, but my .02.
This may be the case for the new 1/2 Ton models. HD trucks are still facing delete issues like the SUVs. I needed more towing capacity and the HD Sierra Denali’s and High Country trucks that I could find had similar delete issues and...
In addition to the manufacture warranty and the federal emissions warranty, there is coverage based on the California emissions warranty if you live in one of the states listed below. It covers more parts than the federal warranty but is only good until 7/70,000.
We had two sensors and two...
Noticed that too. The receiver on my HD actually sits lower than the Yukon. No lifts. Only thing I could tell / think of is that the Yukon’s receiver is integrated at bumper level vs. under the bumper on the truck causing it to be lower on the truck.
Thanks again for all the replies. Submitted it to insurance. We will see what happens. If this is just normal, then replacing the other side as someone mentioned is probably a good idea. Replaced with OEM and just put 1,800 miles on it this week for a ski trip and all was well.
FYI, all...
Curious if anyone has had to replace their front hub assembly and if so at what mileage? Only have 57k on a 2017 and had it go out. Previous 3 Denalis were all past 125k and no issues. Dealer said that was normal for mileage. ????
Main reason for asking is I was hit 10k miles ago on the same...
Yep, the mag chloride is terribly corrosive!! In Central Oregon they switched years ago from cinders. At first they said it wasn’t corrosive....lol....now DOT has warnings about it!! All of our vehicles have been susceptible to it (GM, Audi, BMW). Wheels are the worst. All our winter wheels...
