Got my filter in the mail today. It took three seperate phone calls to get it ordered. Here is the link for the item on the SiriusXm site if anyone else wants to try this.

2004 Burb 8.1 with 260k and climbing; it's my daily driver. BlackBear tune really woke it up. 185 t stat helps with oil consumption. What questions do you have?
The side molding on my drivers side door is starting to come off and I'd like to reattach it. What adhesive/glue is recommended for molding? Vehicle in question is a black 2012 Z71.
For what it's worth, I vote 8.1. I love mine in my suburban. There is not a ton of aftermarket support for it without some deep pockets. But it is a low end torque machine and runs amazing for what it is on my Blackbear 91/93 tune. GM performance finally offers a conversion kit to mount a 6l90...
I did add the mic too. Dark green goes to B1 and the stripped green/black goes to B2. Sorry for the delayed response, I had to find my notes from when I did this upgrade. If I remember correctly, I had to change the wires to get my mic to work. I believe some of the forums and write ups say...
Pin A1 on the RSE is the Class 2 wire you need to tap and put into pin B10 of the amp harness. I am very pleased with my lux upgrade in my 04; hopefully you will like yours as well.
I have a 2004 2500 8.1 Suburban with autoride and I replaced all four shocks this past summer. It rides well and handles much better now, especially when towing. Wal-Mart.com had the best prices when I was looking for them. The 2500 series Autoride set up is different though, all four corners...
These are my oem wheels. The specs I posted earlier are the ones I got from call Discount Tire. I am in no way knowledgeable with regards to backspacing and offset which is why I asked for assistance. The specifications on the rims that were gifted to me are from the manufacturer website...
Thank you all for your replies. The wheels I have now are oem 16 inch. I believe the factory offset is +28mm and the backspace is 5.60. The new rims are xd82089080718 with +18 offset and 5.71 backspace. I'm not too worried about acceleration, it's a 3/4 ton suburban "quick" is not what she was...
I have a 2004 2500 8.1 4L85E 4x4 Suburban with stock 245/75R16 tires. My cousin has blown the engine on his truck and has given me a set of 18 inch rims that have a +18 offset. The tires on the new rim set are LT285/65R18 which I believe is just under 33 inches.
1.) What would I have to do to...
The 620-654 is the heavy duty version. The below picture is from Dorman tech support which I contacted when I was researching for my efan swap for my 8.1.
I tapped the mirror feed in my 2012 Z71 when I upgraded to the HDD radio. The wires on mine where in a foil wrapping. I found it easier to drop the headliner down a little on the drivers side so that I could grab the wires and pull on them hard enough to release them from the tape that is...
This may have been covered already, but I did not see the answer, so I apologize if this is a redundant post; however, what is the 4th plug for on the UQS amp? I am in the process of gathering the needed supplies for this conversion on my 2012 Z71 and I picked up a 4 plug UQS amp for 20 bucks...
