    Water intrusion passenger floorboard

Seen lots of threads already on this. I used the knowledge, and tried most of the suggestions. We'll see, I couldn't mimic any water intrusion. I tried hose down the cowl, hose down the sunroof, hose on the roof, and sitting inside with a flashlight. Turned on both the heater/ac for about 30min...

mechanical clicking, not climate control does not work

I ended upgoing to the dealer for the part. 120$ ouch, but im tired of buying substandard ebay parts. Another note: Always disconnect the battery before splicing wires. I've been really sick for a week, and in my haze, i just started cutting wires. Well it sparked.. blew a few fueses. Really...

mechanical clicking, not climate control does not work

So i ran 12v to the blower, it turned on. Checked the voltage to the resistor. It was at 12v on the black and red, and fluctuated depending on speed when I probed the purple. So i have a 3 pin that goes to the resistor. All that I'm seeing forsale is a 5pin. Even called the dealer they said...

mechanical clicking, not climate control does not work

Update: The blower does not seem to turn on at all. The rear CC works. From what I've read these have weak blower motor resistors. Wpuld that be a good place to start?

mechanical clicking, not climate control does not work

Hey all, 04 tahoe z71. For the past few weeks my wife told me there was a clicking behind the dash. Of course when I checked couldn't hear anything. Well now I've been told the climate control will not blow out of any vent, hot or cold. Sounds like the actuator is broken, but I'd like a...

    battery not charging light

In the future I might do that on my BMW, that's more of a future collector car. My Tahoe will never become a collector. Bought the Duralast with the lifetime warranty. Installed it in 30 min, done deal.

    battery not charging light

I was looking to get the input from some tahoe vets. I want Delco, but not rebuilt.

    battery not charging light

No dont be sorry man. It's just a PITA to get a new Delco alternator. Harder than it should be, and 3 times the cost at the dealer.

    battery not charging light

Shit man, i dont want to get too involved in this. At the end of the day its just an alternator. I am also having my 1st kid soon, and I have a laundry list of project to get done around the house before my daughter is born. Auto Zone has a lifetime warranty on their 145amp alternator for...

    battery not charging light

Well looks like if I want a new Delco, it's going to be a dealer only item. Called a dealer, it's $645+tax +65core. Given this info, I'm thinking New, lifetime, Duralast altornator.

    battery not charging light

I am using the larger of the 2 sizes because of the 145 vs the 105. Ill check, but im guessing they won't have any new Delco alts. Nomatter what size.

    battery not charging light

There might be, but i just put on new belts for the 145 size. Does a larger one require a larger serp belt?

    battery not charging light

I checked the connections after work. Everything is tight. Went to autozone for a test, yup, alternator going out. So they don't sell any new Delco 145amp alternators, only reman. So i want Delco, but a new Duralast has a lifetime warranty, and is the same cost as Delco reman with 2 year...

    battery not charging light

Hey all, we were driving home last night 8hr drive. I noticed the headlights dimming. At first I thought it was my eyes messing with me after driving 7 hours. After about 20 minutes of the lights flickering from bright to do, the battery light intermittently came on with message "battery not...

    New shocks on, feeling fine

Whats up. So i just put the Bilstine 5100 on front and rear. Had it done in 2 hours, including a trip to autozone for a 21mil wrench. Easy job, they came off surprisingly easy even with the amount of rust. I let it soak in PB Blaster for an hour before starting. Also soldered in new tach bulbs...

2 hr shop time sound reasonable?

Hey all, i want to have my full e brake cable replaced. I dont have the time to do it myself. I was quoted 2 hours by a local shop for a total of 200$ in labor. Does that sound reasonable?

Yes sir, i also had the shop throw on a flow master. My wallet it glad its done. All in all we didnt really loose any money. We got a big check from VW for our TDI, that was much more than we paid for the car. It also bought me a new used sport sedan. So its all good!
