This "One Price" / "No Negotiation" is Getting Tiring

Sales office really are bugged and listen to what you and your wife talk about when they salesperson leaved the room. I was negotiating on a 17 Yukon XL and they were sticking with just 3K off even as I said if you can come down "some more" I'll buy. When the salesperson left the room I...

    Front differential change

Milky gray means nothing. I change ALL my fluids out of new vehicles at 1,000 miles and on my GM vehicles they all come out milky gray and smell funny. I don't care who makes the vehcile I never trust what they put in for fluids so I always us high quality fluids and dump what they put in. Same...

    Dealership cancelled my purchase.

Always remember this, there are always MORE vehicles than there are buyers. The pig you worked with wanted to make 10K on the deal and could only make 2K so he blew you off. Not that hard to find where the actual vehicle is, and 400 miles is nothing, sooooo. Last resort order what you want, and...

    08 Transmission Flush

For me, I change every fluid on every vehicle I purchase it the day I bring it home - including new ones, bye especially used ones. New ones I won't do the tranny or coolant but front and rear diff's get changes, the engine gets changed, transfer case gets changes. I want the synthetics that I...

    One for the books

I changed the oil on Sat. After filling my 2017 Yukon Xl 4x4 with 7 quarts I put the oil cap back on, drove to a level area ( 50 feet ) let the engine run to distribute the oil properly for my final recheck on the dips stick. I took the oil cap off placed it on a rag above the fan on the fan...

2016 Denali XL - GMC Refused to buyback!

Simple LEMON LAW sue them. I sued two manufacturers on Lemon Law and won both. Manufacturers NEVER EVER want to go to court because a jury will award you 10 million dollars and the manufacturers know this, so the will ALWAYS settle out of court. One manufacturer settled on the court house steps...

Would you buy your Yukon/Tahoe again?

I had a new 4 Runner for the wife, which was a great vehicle. I'm a big guy so I never felt comfortable on long trips. I sold the 4 runner for almost what I paid for it new after using it for two years and got the 17 loaded GMC XL. No comparison. A week after I got it I drove 18 hours straight...

Friday was a sad day RIP Avalanche

Doesn't matter what the "posted" speed limit is 75 towing anything is UNSAFE PERIOD. Max speed UHAUL says is 45MPH for their equipment. In Ca. max speed is 55 TOWING anything. Seriously is it worth being anywhere 30 minutes sooner at the risk of killing a loved one. Go ahead everyone CHIME IN...

OEM Premium Package ...not from the factory

The buckets look nice, but and I almost regretted not getting them until we left the dealership and the next day started a 5K road trip. My 18 year old daughter was able to lay down in the full seat. When I switched drivers with my wife I played down and was able to take a nice nap for an hour...

OEM Premium Package ...not from the factory

I just bought a loaded SLT Yukon XL with all the goodies EXCEPT for the Denali seats, Denali name badge and saved the 10K. It's th way to go. Doing it yourself means having to come up with all the out of pocket cash ON TOP OF the deposit for the vehicle. If you buy it already installed, you get...

Manual Down Shifting While Towing Down Steep Grades

I always use the tranny as a brake. Old wives tale about cheaper to replace braked than a tranny. In the right gear the tranny is doing what it was designed for. I just drove dow the mountain in Yosemite and only hit the brakes a few times between the tow mode and 6 speed tranny I was always in...

What are your tips/tricks to negotiating down the dealership?

++++++++++++++++++++++ You've got to state what you will pay and when they say no, get up and walk out. TRUST ME they will chase you. On deal I did was literally with one foot outside the door and one foot inside the door. My last deal last month I stated my price which was 10K less than...

    Questions About First Oil Change

At 130K I would use some sort of engine flush, get rid of any old build up or sludge, then change it TWICE in a row, once with cheap oil, then again 100 miles later with Royal Purple.

Do You Regret: Short-Body vs Long-Body

I bought the 2017 Yukon XL 4x4 , and love it. Think about it, you buy this vehicle of the utility part not the I like the looks part. The XL gives me so may more options over the shortie. Example, I'm packing today for a trip and by the time you add all the sleeping bags, lawn chairs, toys, rain...

2017 Tahoe Premier vs Yukon Denali---which would you buy and why?

Denali not worth the extra 10K. I just brought home the 4x4 set with all of the Denali additions, and saved 10K. The grill who cares, the name Denali on the leather who cares. I got full leather and added thick sheepskins any way. The seat cooling still works. The vehicle is AMAZING. I got full...

    Ever drive it hard?

Abuse it for the first 25K miles while it's under warranty, then back off and drive normal. If it's going to break it will beak under warranty. I've done that for my last 4 new vehicle and they've all gone over 150K trouble free.
