OK, sorry I have been on vacation and haven't checked this site lately. I want the look of that grill insert but I'm not willing to cut up my grill to make it work. I looked them up and for a GMC you have to have the cutout in the grill insert or cut out the center of your existing grill for the...
I have a 3" body lift so it the pipes actually go over the frame which is over the spare tire.
I love the body lift, it gives me so much more room to work on stuff.
I still haven't got that video but it sounds great. Not loud at all but has a good deep tone. No drone. That is why I always use straight-through mufflers like glass packs plus I'm old school. I've had other mufflers like Flowmaster and had a lot of drone. The drone was deafening on my 06...
No X or H. I wanted them separate all the way out. I'll try to get a video later. I still need to fix an exhaust manifold leak from a broken bolt. I have the repair bolt/clamp part but it still leaks at the first start when it is cold then goes away when it warms up.
Thanks for the help and advice.
My old mirrors have puddle lights but the new ones don't. I am going to install some small LED's in the bottom of the new mirrors for puddle lights and connect them to the existing wires in the harness. I will have to tap into the wiring harness under the dash...
Using these diagrams but my new mirrors don't fold electrically just manual and don't have memory and don't have dimming. I think that if I forget about the colors and the stuff that the new mirrors don't have this diagram will work. What do you think?
OK, I need some help. Can anybody identify these wires on my new 03-07 side mirrors? The wiring diagram I found doesn't make sense. It may be because the diagram is for the wires that are in the door and not the colors in my plugs. Even so, they don't match up to the locations in the plugs...
Have never really thought about it but the other day at a car show with the Mustang I decided to buy a clay bar kit. I have always hated the way my Yukon's paint feels rough so I tried the clay bar on it and man what a difference it made. The paint is smooth as silk now. I waxed it today and it...
Made some front bearing bolts today out of the old axles I had still laying around. Now if I need to go 2WD because of front diff issues, I can. They are small and easy to keep stored, so why not?
05Single has it listed on his build thread and Here is my order.

If you are looking to go bigger on the tires you should go ahead and install a 3" body lift. It will make the brake line and fuel line change out so much easier and get you some clearance to install larger tires keeping the ride the same.
As far a cleaning, you can use Rustoleum rust Dissolver...
Yes, I'm keeping the 3rd. I need all the brake lights I can get. Your buddy's looks great. In that case I would get rid of the the 3rd and keep the strip. I do like it like it is, so I'm not sure. May leave all of it.
I would put it on the ground and have someone turn the steering wheel while I looked at the steering linkage to see where the movement is. You may have damaged the bearings in the steering box. If so I would think it would be leaking fluid out. The new part could be bad.
Did this today. Installed the LED brake light strip in the rear window and deleted the rear wiper. I still have to get the correct plug/caps for the holes. Don't forget to leave enough slack for the window to open.
