NIVOMAT Shock Replacement Input Needed.....
Agree, if you don't see bouncing, no need to replace the Nivomats, let them do their job. I have a 2001 Suburban 1500, 197k miles and it bounces at least 3 times with one Nivomat visibly leaking. ZW7 Nivomat replacement spring question
ooh that's a great tip! the "donor" truck VIN is 1GNFK16TX1J237500 , it appears from GMPartsGiant that it's a 4wd, so it should have the stiffer springs, hopefully. I didn't think about checking that in person, I guess I'll do a second trip to PnP... thanks!- Pintoni

ZW7 Nivomat replacement spring question
thanks both for replying! I don't have a pic of the rear shocks right now, but I'm pretty sure they are Nivomat (they are pretty thick, almost twice the diameter of a regular shock, I can take a pic later today) here's the service parts sticker, I have both ZW7 and G65 codes, so I think I...- Pintoni

I'm trying to convert them to traditional suspension, planning to mount Bilstein 4600 front and rear.
