I have had my Service Air Bag light come on when I leave the door open and truck running. Shut truck off and turn on it goes out.
Had it at the dealer for service and they said it was the impact sensor in the door and it would be $380 to replace it. Is it worth replacing or should I just...
Well the cold temps finally got it. My 2012 Tahoe has had a small crack in the dash by the passenger air bag for the past few yrs.But now one formed on driver side behind the tach.
Is there any way to repair this without getting a complete dash? A patch job would work if it didnt look too bad.
I have had this problem and it turned out to be he voltage regulator/alternator. Put 2 AZ reman alternators on before I threw a fit on the 3rd one and had them replace it with a NEW one.( the reman ones work for a week or so then went bad) The new one has been ok for a few months now.
A while back I ran across a Video of a repair by wrapping a cord tightly around it.I cant seem to find the vid again. I want to try this but dont remember how to tie the cord off for it to hold.
I have it repair with a metal plate screwed on the back side now but want the cord over it to add...
This is most noticeable with the dome light. With engine running and parked the lights fluctuate from bight to dimmer. The engine seems to gain and loose a few rpms when this is going on too.
I have noticed the volt meter going up a little more than normal.Like up to a little of 15v. Truck...
I repaired mine with a small strip of metal.Predrilled 3 holes st it under the handle, drilled holes in the plastic screwed it on.Drilled it with an angle drill.Worked good so far.
I repaired mine by screwing a plate under it.But I seen a post on here awhile back of a guy that wrapped it with a cord.Even had a vid of it.I would like to find the post and or the vid.
I tried the search already but may not have worded it right.
Got it lined out today.Took it in to AZ and had the charging system checked.Showed bad ALT not regulating voltage.Changed it out and all is good.Charges 14.6 going down the road and drops to 13.8 in traffic with AC going.Comes right back to 14-14.6 once going.
My 2012 Tahoe LT has been showing 14v or a little higher on the gauge.Today it started to drop about a 1/4in or more on the gauge.Never got out of the white area. But when I shut it off and restart it it goes back to normal a little past 14v. Run it and it drops down.
I have put a volt meter...
It is a basic 2012 5.3 with tow package,3.42 gearing with 4wd,HD trans pak.I was pulling in 2wd.I do understand gearing very well.Just figured 3.42 would be decent since my Silverado only has 3.08 and it is a dog pulling and uses gas like crazy.(15 mpg and it is 4.3 6cyl)
Yes it has tow package.Last time I towed with it I was mostly in 5th in hills.tried it in D on the flat roads towards home and it SEEMED to do better.Just really like to see comparisons and if D is better than say 5th or 4th for pulling
