    Mileage change with lift ?

According to the mileage and fuel gauge, you must have just filled up, lol. That's good information, thanks. 34 is amazing; best I've gotten with my Tahoe is 21 on the highway.

    Mileage change with lift ?

I'm considering a 2" leveling lift on my 2013 Tahoe LT, 4WD, 3.42 rear end. 275/55R20 tires, 5.3 engine. I'll keep the tires. I'm currently averaging 17.5mpg combined Does anyone have experience with mileage difference after a lift? The reason I'm thinking that it will decrease is that ride...

DIC dims during day in Auto headlight mode

At some point I'll address the DLR problem but for now my new starting routine will be: Turn off auto headlight mode Turn on foglights in lieu of DLR I can live with that. :)

DIC dims during day in Auto headlight mode

Thanks. Turns out my DRL aren't on after all. When I pull into the garage the headlights come on and I thought that was the driving lights. So the sensor isn't working properly after all.

DIC dims during day in Auto headlight mode

I had the DDD (Dim Daylight DIC) problem when I bought my 2013 Tahoe with 125,000 miles. Replaced the instrument cluster circuit board chip, still had problem. With instrument panel control set full brightness, the DIC lights were bright in the garage but dimmed as soon as I drove out into the...

    After market compass

Thanks. I bought one of these for a Subaru and couldn't get it compensated anywhere I placed it. Where did you locate yours? They're good compasses, I ended up putting mine on a small sailboat. It, Richie brand, is the exact compass I want. Scot

    After market compass

Thanks for the info. I've used magnetic compasses in boats and on land and am familiar with variation/declination and deviation The problem I've had in the past was the magnetic compasses being so far off due to metal or magnetic interference in the car's structure that I couldn't find a place...

    After market compass

Has anyone installed an after market compass? I'd like to disconnect Onstar and also get a more accurate compass for off road. I'm talking about a magnetic compass that would fit on the dash or windshield. My previous experience has been with some vehicles there is too much interference from...

Hello from Arizona - 2013 Tahoe

Thanks for the information. Interesting that going to lower gears improved mileage. I'd hoped to be able to run 34s without rubbing. Given the mileage and clearance problems I may reconsider tire size.

Hello from Arizona - 2013 Tahoe

That's quite a rig you've built up. The most I plan to go with is a 2" lift since I don't do any serious rock crawling or gnarly roads (Anymore. I took my 4Runner places by myself that I shouldn't have. Luckily, never broke down). Unfortunately I have 20" wheels and don't want to spend the $ to...

    Skid Plate Options (23176881)

I bought the transfer case and oil pan skid plates used, so I'm good there. Just looking for a metal replacement for the plastic front splash guard. Question now is whether it will fit/replace the front splash guard on a 2013 LT 4WD. Thanks for the info

    Skid Plate Options (23176881)

I've been looking under Chevrolet metal, steel, aluminum front splash guards , front skid plates, etc. etc. with no luck. Any ideas on search criteria or vendors?

Hello from Arizona - 2013 Tahoe

I just found a reference list that says 900's with just the ZW7 code have standard shocks and springs but if it also has the G65 code, it has auto-leveling (Nivomat). I don't have the g65 code, so looks like I'm OK to swap out shocks or add spacers.

Hello from Arizona - 2013 Tahoe

I have the ZW7 suspension, Premium Smooth Ride, that I understood to have the Nivomats. Thanks for the suggestion on the pickup skid plates.

Hello from Arizona - 2013 Tahoe

Some of you wanted me to post pictures, etc. Details are: 2013 Tahoe LT with 125,000 miles, 4WD, 2 speed transfer case, completely stock. Photos attached. Immediate mods are minimal at this point: Skid plates (used factory), KO2s. Future mods are possibly mild lift (2 to 2.5" so I can keep stock...

Hello from Arizona - 2013 Tahoe

Thanks for the link to Pete. Unfortunately, I have 20" rims. Must have been an option in 2013, as the only size wheel I've run KO2s on is 16" I don't want to spend the money on new wheels, but am wondering how tires, especially stiff sidewall tires like KO2s, air down on 20" wheels. Just not...

Hello from Arizona - 2013 Tahoe

I bought used factory skid plates (oil pan and transfer case), am looking for a metal front splash guard to replace the factory one, and a rear diff shield. Next is a 2" lift (recommendations?) and KO2s, not sure how big to go. I'm 68 and had 285/75 X 16s on a 96 K1500 20 years ago. Not sure I...

Hello from Arizona - 2013 Tahoe

Just bought a 2013 Tahoe LT 4WD for off-road car camping. I sleep in the back and removing one rear bucket seat and the 3rd row gives me plenty of room. I usually camp up North in the forests, would like to get together with any other Tahoe (or other) campers who like to explore the back roads.
