We didn’t get a lot of snow last year either but enough to cause me enough problems with the steps that I turned them off anytime we had snow on the roads. I didn’t have the mud guards last year so snow would build up on the rockers right behind the front tires and I thought that was the main...
I would understand that if the steps were down when driving and snow was building up between the step and the vehicle. That would make sense with snow causing interference with the steps closing. But the steps are stowed when driving and snow builds up around them.
When the steps are stowed snow builds up on them so they won’t close after they’ve been deployed by a door opening. I know, it doesn’t make much sense to me either. You would think that if the snow builds up on the stowed steps that they would still be able to close after deploying. The problem...
Has anyone who lives in a place that gets snow figured out a way to get the power side steps to function properly once they get snowy?
Last winter I had them stowed anytime the roads had any snow on them. But that doesn’t really work well with young kids who aren’t big enough to step in...
GMC has always been brutal with their website. I remember when the Sierra/Silverado had their refresh back in 2014 the build site for the Sierra for quite some time was using pictures of the previous generation trucks. In 2024 it’s really no better. Here in Canada there are 2025 Yukons on dealer...
I had the same problem in my 23 Yukon today for the first time in the year I’ve owned it. Went to the store, no issues. Then backing out of the parking spot to leave my screen is blank with the two symbols noted above. A couple of hours later I go out again and it’s working fine. Hopefully it’s...
I’ve been driving my Yukon sparingly since the CEL came on and didn’t drive it at all yesterday. About an hour ago when I drove it I noticed that the light was gone. I have an appointment at the dealership on Friday but now there’s no light for them to check. Although I already told them what...
Do you know if the CEL will prevent remote start from working? Today it's not starting with the remote or through the MyGMC app. It's starting fine using the start button in the vehicle
I had to turn mine off. The whole area has to be basically snow free to get them to go up. After every drive I'd have to take a snow brush and clean the running boards, rockers, and brackets of snow completely. Doing that after every drive obviously isn't very practical for the entire winter. So...
Tonight on my way home from work my CEL came on after some shuttering. When I got home I connected my code reader and I got the code P0300 Random Misfire. My Yukon Denali has 6400km on it. Great. Are you not able to clear codes on these vehicles? Everytime I tried with my code reader it would...
Cosmetic things like the grill and wheels can be changed to suit your desires. The interior is much more difficult/impossible to change. And considering the interior is what your using and staring at the entire time you're driving the vehicle to me it would seem to make the interior more...
I have the same annoyance issue with AA auto connecting even if it wasn't the last radio source. I don't really enjoy getting in the vehicle myself and having the kids music that I play from my phone start playing when I want to continue listening to Sirius
This is from the Yukon product page:
***DUE TO COMPLEX CURVATURE THIS PRECUT TAIL LIGHT IS A TWO PIECE KIT WITH A SEAM AT THE CORNER. PLEASE SEE OUR UNVIRSAL SHEETS FOR COMPLETE COVERAGE.***
Perhaps they should change the word "seam" to "gap."
I installed the Lamin-X film on my Yukon and have similar issues as you. I don't know why a custom cut kit wouldn't actually fit what it's made for. I'm interested to see what Lamin-X says to you.
I only had the stock wheels and tires on for about 250 km so I didn't have a lot of time with them. In my experience I would say the difference between the tires is minimal. Also I went from a 2014 Silverado with Z71 suspension. So either way the ride I have now is smoother and more comfortable...
Traxda has a 2" front and 1" rear level, they also have a 2" front only. There's an additional bracket you need with mag ride

I recently tinted my tailights. I used Lamin-X's precut kit. Their website says that due to the complex curvature it is a two piece kit with a seam at the corner. It's less of a seam and more of a finger width gap. I played around with it for a little bit to try and see if I was missing...
Put my new wheels and tires on today. Wheels are Status Venti 22x9.5 with +25 offset. Tires are 285/50/22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I'm very happy with this setup so far. No issues at all with the fitment and no rubbing yet. The rear of the tire is pretty close to the wheel well liner at full lock...
Not my Yukon but there's this:
https://www.customwheeloffset.com/wheel-offset-gallery/2180023/2021-gmc-yukon-xl-tis-547b-stock
It has 305/45/22 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. They're on +10mm offset rims though
I've been seeing custom builds with air ride that talk about custom lifts. This one speaks of a fabricated lift. If you zoom in on the front wheel well it looks like it has ready lift control arms. Also I've seen Hurst Autoplex customs selling Denali Ultimates that say they have a custom lift
I initially wanted air ride on my Denali. Then I started reading and seeing people reporting issues due to cold weather. I talked to one dealer who had an available Denali with air ride and he said the system isn't designed for -40c. Whether that's true or not it didn't give me a good level of...
I think it would depend on how soon you want to get into a new vehicle. If you're alright with waiting even longer than you already have it might be worth it. I waited 9 months to get my 23 XL Denali. I did briefly consider cancelling that order and waiting for a 24. But not knowing what they...
