Wow, reading this makes me wonder what my mechanic did when he supposedly replaced the brakes all the way around. That was about 6 months ago so I'm sure his "warranty" has expired but lately my brakes seem to be bad. Granted I have the 2500 XL with big azz tires but it takes forever to stop...
I'm assuming its the amp behind the glove box correct?
Anyone have a spare factory amp they aren't using after installing a new system? Want to sell it cheap or donate it to a great cause? (cause i don't have any sound, lol)
J
I have spent time today looking through this entire thread and all I can say is DAAAYUUMMMM!!!!! Your truck is badass and I almost get ill when I look at mine, lol.
Keep up the good work and I'll keep watching the updates!
OK so a few months ago I replaced my 4 door speakers. Everything sounded fine up until about 2 weeks ago. Here is what is going on:
I only get sound from the RF, LR and sometimes LF. IF the volume is low there is no sound from the LF but if I turn the volume up it comes back. For a while...
I have a set of Bilstein shocks that I got to put on a Nissan Titan but never put them on it. WIll they fit up front on my 2001 Yukon XL 2500? (I'm not sure at thi moment what model shocks they are)
Thanks, J
OK so the other day I'm driving home from work...it's raining so the roads are wet. I got to make a right turn off one road to another after making a stop and the rearend feels like I've got a flat. I pull over and check and find nothing wrong. I get back in and continue on and later when...
Thanks Ryan...the HU is Jensen MSR4050G. I'm not exactly sure what the speakers are but I know they are not blown because they are good when not underway... I just have no power going to them, so I guess I need an amp. I do see an RCA out on the back of the harness so that would be my pre amp...
ok so here goes...I have a 20' Hurricane deck boat and it is currently set up with a cheap Jensen 4x40 with only 2 speakers. it sounds "ok" when sitting still but I can't hear it when moving, or it gets too distorted. I want to add more speakers but am a total newb when it comes to all the...
OK so I have a 01 Yukon XL2500 and have recently had the idler and pitman arms replaced...I have more recently had new tires put on...problem is when I hit a pothole or other similar "bump" I get a chatter in the front end. It's not a bouncy bounce like a bad shock but a chatter, like going over...
Mine is sort of doign the same thing, except it hasnt stalled "yet". I have the 8.1l and it seems to hover around 500/550 after warm up. I get a slight "buck" or miss every few seconds...now the strange thing is it seems to only do it (or at least its MUCH worse) while in gear. If I pop it...
first two tanks after I got it...10mpg! (city) ( 01 yukon XL 2500 with 8.1L 4.10rear) I've run through two tanks now with 2stroke oil and it's up to 11! I was planning to do the swiss cheese mod but not sure now after reading some of your posts.
I have a "wet" issue on my passenger side... how can i unplug the sunroof drain? I"m thinking this is my problem because the other day when it was raining I saw water dripping from somewhere up in the door pillar where the wires are.
I am in the process of swapping out my factory speakers and have run into a tiny hiccup...on the factory wires there is a green and blue, or maybe lt green/drk green...which is the +?
It's a 2001 Yuk XL. (non bose). Would the rear seat door be the same?
Thanks.
This may be in the wrong section so please move if needed...
I'm having some gremlin type issues on my 2001 Yuk XL 2500...as I've posted in another thread my headlights are on ALL the time no matter what position the switch is in, and the slightest of taps on the dome override switch turns...
