    2007 yukon denali oil leak

It's funny how my Yukon was leaking, then mysteriously stopped... I give... When it leaks it's really just drips not puddles so I'll probably live with it. If I park it for extended times, I just put cardboard under it. It's a 2008, can't expect perfection at this point. It runs good and it's...

    2007 yukon denali oil leak

Is this on all engine versions? I have a 5.3. I have had a mystery oil leak for a long time. Mosly just irritating since I cant find it. I did have valve covers leaking a bit which was some of it and the block off plate too.

2013 Suburban About To Follow Me Home

I would actually prefer the GMT800's but I can't find any up here that aren't totally rusted to crap. I think the rear leafs would make for much better towing, IMO. What engine does it have, 6.0?

2013 Suburban About To Follow Me Home

I dont see many 2500's up here (WI). Is the 2500 rear suspension any different than the 1500? I have a 2008 1500 XL and I tow a #5000 boat with air bags but it could be better.

    My 2013 Yukon XL 1500

Nasty plugs. if it had different plugs, might be with it to replace the wires too. As far as the AFM disable. The easiest thing to do is just a module plugged into the OBD port. Then no worries, just unplug it before your test. No software. I bought this one on Amazon and it worked better than...

    My 2013 Yukon XL 1500

If it were me, I would disable the AFM. Why take a chance of that happening again. My truck has 205k miles, AFM disabled and running good.

    2006 Z71-For sale 70k miles

Bottom line, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That guy thinks he has a prize. It's really only worth what someone will pay for it. I usually buy really high mileage vehicles that are clean and they have treated me well, but that's me. Risk/reward. All my vehicles have over 200k miles on...

    AFM/DOD Questions

LOL, funny that CA thinks a few guys that disable their AFM will cause the climate to change. Honestly, it is such a small percentage that even do this. It's more about control than anything.

Cooling fans coming on max after cold engine start, stays on till engine shutdown

Wondering if this solved the problem. My fans have started to work irregularly lately. I plan on changing my ECT sensor also. Seems like something easy to try at least.

AC issues wont blow cold air

If you have rear air, I know those lines are known to leak over time. Common issue. I ended up blocking mine off and just have front air which works fine for me.

Leaking oil on a 2011 Chevy Tahoe

My block off plate was leaking at one time but fixed. Now it only leaks when the truck is parked with the front uphill. When I park with the truck downhill, no leaks. Go figure.

    DOD AFM Delete videos

I guess I was asking that the videos were for a 2014 DOD or newer if the procedure was similar to the 2008 vintage DOD delete. I'm guessing it's similar but probably not identical.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Considering what others have said, I'll take the 16 mpg highway. That said, most of my driving is shorter trips so it's probably 13-15 depending.

    DOD AFM Delete videos

Thanks for the vids. I'll look forward to watching them. Do they apply to older (2008) engines?

    Towing stability

Thanks for the advice. I will definitely look into it. I got a sweet deal on a set of low mile 275/60/20 Wranglers and rims from a GMC truck. I have a stock suspension setup. They are just that much bigger that they barely rub at a full turn. They do look sweet compared to the stock rims and...

It can be done......a road trip experience

Some people laugh when I bring LOTS of tools with me on trips but it's just my experience of being a field tech for so many years. Never want to be caught without tool for that unknown situation.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Do you know what you averaged for mileage? I did the same trip last November, WI to AL on a stock 5.3 and was right at 16 mpg for the entire trip. First big trip in my rig and I loved it. We used to take our mini van which was fine but this is certainly the way to go.

    Towing stability

Those are all great points. Yeah, my truck is pretty good, probably above average for my area considering the stupid WI rust cancer on most vehicles up here. I never considered the tire issue. I do have one size bigger then OE so that could definitely be a factor. If I decided to go the swap...

    Towing stability

Yeah, I would agree with the 4.10 axle. I guess sometimes you have to weigh out the better towing with the mileage for every day use. I tow almost every weekend from mid June to September. However the percentage of towing miles compared to other miles is low. I think before I would mechanically...

    Towing stability

Thanks for the advise. I'll keep a closer eye on it and see where it is in the colder weather.

    Towing stability

I tow a #5000-ish boat with my 2008 Yukon XL and it does pretty well but I will have to say I think the 4 spd transmission is really the weak point, meaning, I think the 6 speed would work much better. I did add an aux cooler and on the hottest day, it stays at or below 200. Winter, well it...
