Leaking oil on a 2011 Chevy Tahoe

lol yes it’s called a bad oil change.

Hundred bucks says it's the little oil cooler block-off plate/oil cooler line manifold right above the oil filter. They all leak there eventually. If it's the block-off plate, replace with an ICT Billet plate with the matcing o-ring seal. If it's the cooler lines, replace the gasket with OEM and give it the thinnest coating of black permatex. Let the permatex sit overnight to cure fully before starting. Be very vigilant of the torque spec on those bolts.

I was rooting for you and your ideas were spot on generally. It was a leak caused by a badly screwed on oil filter.

I’m curious though Chevy dealer recommended an oiler cooler line replacement not related to my initial visit. I’m not too familiar with parts you are discussing but if you have pics with comments it would be appreciated. I’m having the transmission line replaced. The exhaust bolt broke off and of course the oil cooler line eventually needs replacement.

I would have went back to whoever changed my oil if I developed a leak afterward. Even if it turned out to be something else, I’m starting with them. Glad it was a simple fix.

My block off plate was leaking at one time but fixed. Now it only leaks when the truck is parked with the front uphill. When I park with the truck downhill, no leaks. Go figure.
