‘04 Escalade - replacing factory Bose headunit, retain sub?

If I replace the factory cassette/CD in a Bose system are there any complications with the factory Bose speakers specifically the center console sub? I want to run a multimedia receiver with CarPlay and want to make sure I have enough power for the Bose speakers. Also is there a crossover outside of the factory head unit or do I need to worry about one to pass signal to tweeter and door mid?

Also...anyway to integrate the factory 6-disc changer to aftermarket radio?

It's not too bad to swap the factory stereo and use one of the recommended wiring harnesses such as the PAC RP5-GM11 to connect to the factory wiring. Only thing is that most people experience a little feedback/interference when nothing is playing but it isn't too bad. As far as the factory 6-disc changer I'm not sure.

What does the Bose console sub look like? I have the Bose speakers, no head unit and no rear or console sub.. Curious...

Pretty sure he photo I saw is just a smallish woofer in a special enclosure under the console.

I just did the install 2 weeks ago, i had some minor feedback, but then pulled it out to check connections. one of the connections to the PAC 5 wasnt fully seated, now its fine with no feedback

Is the typical 20w rms you get from a headunit enough to power the Bose speakers? Does this also power the sub?

A lot of people with the Bose system just upgrade the headunit and that provides enough power to give an improvement to the existing Bose speakers and sub.

That's what I did. I wouldn't mind a bit more sub. I've got a bazooka tube that's been in my basement for years .I may throw that in.
