00-02 to 03-06 tahoe window switch conversion?

I prefer the look/feel of the 2003 and up window switches compared to the chunky flat ones that come on my '01 tahoe. I've gotten mixed answers as to how possible it is to switch them out so I need answers. If it is doable, how difficult of a conversion would it be?

It’s not doable. The 2000-2002 GMT800 pickups and SUVs runs on an analog electrical system. The 2003-2006 GMT800s got an entirely different digital electrical system. So the electrical switches from the pre 2003 rigs won’t function in the post 2003 trucks, and vice versa since they won’t communicate with each other.

I found for sale only switches from OBS, and from 2003-2006.
