I’m pretty sure these will bolt right up, however, does anyone know if the connector will be plug and play?

The Esky seats are perforated, which leads me to believe they are cooled, but the switch is on the seats nears the power seat controls, so I won’t need another switch... Will they though get power from the same harness?

Air cooled seats were not a feature until 2004 on the escalades and it was only a feature on the platinum trim escalades. So the 2000 escalade seats are not cooled. They all had perforated leather cushions regardless. Is this 2000 escalade a gmt400 escalade or a GMT800 escalade? Because if I’m not mistaken the 2000 model year escalade was a GMT400 and didn’t switch over the GMT800 platform til 2002. But the 2001 Yukon would be a GMT800 platform. That will make a big difference in whether or not the seat will fit. Post up a picture of both trucks.

I don’t have photos of the donor truck, the shop which has the seats said they are from a 2000 Esky.

They are super comfortable and very good condition (I’ll take a photo next time I’m down there), but they look just like the photo attached.

I didn’t realize the first gen Esky was a gmt400, I guess the connectors for the power seats will likely not fit, even if they do bolt in.

Yup the GMT800 Yukon started in 2000 but not the Escalade. I don’t think the gmt400 seats are the same size as the GMT800 seats so I don’t think the tracks will bolt into the newer Yukon and match up to the mounting spots. But I’ve never measured the dimensions of either seat frame and track so I’m not Positive on that.

I have the airbag seats (2001), so will 03-06 GMC/Chevy/Esky seats bolt in?

And will the connector be plug and play if the donor seats have airbags too?

I know for a fact that the 2003-2006 seats will physically fit and bolt into the 2001. I have a client with a 2001 Silverado 2500 HD and she has 2003 seats in it that I detail for all the time. Not sure how she got the wiring bits to work, but they do work. I can move the seats back and forth while I’m vacuuming. So I’m not sure if you’d have to make a harness and splice together to make work or if they’re plug and play. I also suppose it depends on which power options the seats have and which power options the seats in your truck have. Different seat options might affect what the harness looks like. Your best bet is to look in a junkyard and see what the harness looks like in a 2003 truck versus what your 2001 harness looks like.

Good advice!
